The hanging beads come in a separate bag, with one extra, and they were easy to hook into the bottom of the light. It is beautiful to look at, creates a warm ambiance to the room, and is also practical. It comes with 3 hooks to hang the lamp and secure the cord along the wall. I should have trusted that the hooks were sturdy enough to hold the lamp, but the lamp seemed heavy to me, and I live in earthquake country, so I used a standard sized sturdy ceiling hook that has the metal T that holds the hook inside the ceiling. Being the not handy person that I am, I didn't realize the 3 small plastic thingies that came with the lamp have a small hole on one end that is placed on the hook, and two slits on the other to slip into the cord so the cord doesn't slip. Well, the small hole won't fit the standard ceiling hook.
