cheap and cheerful, does exactly what I need
What you are really buying here is a tool for holding a single-edge blade. (We used to call them razor blades, but I am not sure if single edge razors or safety razors still exist that use this type of blade).The plastic scraper body is basic, but comfortable to hold. It has a vert gentle s-shape profile which makes it easy to hold in use, and is rubber-covered to aid grip. On the product image, red is plastic, black is rubber coating.Towards one end is a round black knob. That is a screw that tightens or loosens the "jaw" that grips the blade in place. It is a simple mechanism, I can't see much to go wrong with it.I sugffer from arthritis in my hands and thumbs, but I was able to tighten the jaws sufficiently that so far the blade has not slipped in use.It only comes with one blade, so you will need to buy more. I doubt if the supplied blade is the most expensive or the best quality available - so if you want a bettter qaulity blade, I advise to buy whatever quality you want as spare/ replacement.It is designed as a scraper, so should be used with the angle of the blade only a few degrees away from the surface being scraped (usually glass). I notice that some reviwers mention breaking the blade - I really do not know how rough you need to get to do that - but you can buy your extra blades of whatever quality you wish.As a scraper for a glass hob, or to remove over-paint from windows I recommend it.

Handy Little Tool
The Am-Tech Mini Scraper is a nice bit of kit. It's lightweight and easy to hold. It has a protective cap to make it safe when not in use. I use mine to scrape off burnt in food spillage from a ceramic hob which it does with ease. I wish I'd bought one years ago, it makes the job so much easier and costs so little.

Poor Quality
I wasn't happy with this at all.It looks used as there are scratches on the product and the fitment of the blade is very poor, it slips out of position too easily. I'm buying a replacement and spending a little more for a lot more quality.

Excelent Value
Bought for light work (stripping fletchings from arrows) and it's ideal. Great value, quick delivery, would buy again!
