The photographs do not entirely do this item justice. It is more solid than it looks in the advert and very nicely finished. The drawers, doors and lid all fit and work flawlessly and there is sufficient space in this item for a fair amount of jewelery. It is also quite heavy, so not likely to be accidentally knocked over or off a surface. This is a lockable unit and a key is provided which has a small decorative "rope" attached.Overall I was extremely pleased with this product. It is well made, very nicely finished, solid with lots of storage. My wife was ecstatic with it, and immediately started filling it when I presented it to her. It also looks extremely attractive sitting on her dressing table. All the storage is easily accessible, and where it opens out you can quickly select jewelery to match an outfit.

Bought as a 5th Wedding Anniversary gift (traditionally wood) for my wife - she’s got loads of jewellery lying around in the bedroom & bathroom so can never find what she’s looking for so it was practical too. Arrived when it said it would, well packaged/protected so no damage on arrival. Excellent finish and plenty drawers & compartments for every type of jewellery so no more balls of necklaces all tangled up & only being able to find one earring getting ready for a night out. My wife also found long forgotten bout jewellery when rummaging around for it all to put in this so was very happy. I unscrewed the frame around the internal mirror and took it to a laser engraver to have some lines from the song from our first dance added to it to personalise it - was concerned as the frame is a cheap composite wood whereas the rest of it is solid dark wood but it still came out really nice with the engraving so couldn’t be happier with this item.

Basic lock but does what its meant to, you have to insert metal plugs (photos) I had to use glue because when I letter lid there lifted out as well BUT! this is a great jewellery box! I love everything about it!

When my old jewellery box fell off the window sill and broke I need to find another one and I have to say this is far better! Holds everything in one place, so no more little boxes cluttering up my dresser draws. Even been able to fit my hair clips etc in the bottom drawer so now I only need to look in one place for everything I need. The box is extremely well made and not had any issue with it, locks perfectly and plenty of storage i even have space for more!! Definitely recommend this product.

I think this is an absolute bargain. I have within 4 days of receipt, orderd another one. The only down side I can find is .... After looking at the beautiful work and wood on this box, I have had to upgrade my other vanity/jewelry options. Looking for a watch box, caused significant difficulty to match them with this item due to the stunning, but natural finish of my box. The pictures don't show how beautiful this box actually is. I just wish they offered more styles of boxes in this range.

For starters, this jewelry box arrived today in perfect condition, five days ahead of the scheduled delivery date! I love everything about it--it's beautifully crafted and has room for a lot of jewelry. I found the key with a tassel in one of the drawers, and the locking mechanism works. I want to mention also that I had a question for Rowling customer service before I ordered the box, and they were very helpful and willing to please. Five stars for a beautiful jewelry box, excellent customer service, and fast delivery.

Bought this for my wife on her birthday and she loved it. Came on time and was in perfect condition. Works perfectly.It feels very fragile in certain places (not your everyday smash and close locker) but overall perfect. Decoration on the top is also perfect and everything was intact.Be careful when you taking out the draws. If you take them completely out it’s hard to put them back.

Oh my gosh this is a nice looking box for my trinkets and costume gems. I have been looking for the right size box to consolidate several small boxes to be able to find my earrings, rings, and necklaces quickly. The box arrived a day ahead of schedule (good) and looks nice. The day after it arrived I spent 2 hours sorting through decades of stuff (to be honest most of what I have is worth nothing so I had a clear out which took more time) and arranging things into the different compartments (there are several compartments, with loads of space--- a positive). The first time I locked it though, the front circle lock panel fell off. And the two metal tabs which are to hold the top bits together so it can lock are not actually glued into the holes and they both fell out---one it took me 10 minutes to find on the rug because it is small. For looks and size and doing what I want it to do I would rate this a 5, but ultimately I want lock parts not to fall out (still locks, but it would be somewhat easy to break) so I have to give it a 3. Maybe I got a faulty one but it will cost to return (not to mention more time to take all the stuff back out) so I am going to keep it, but I will have to rig or glue some things and for £60 I should not have to do that. Some people live off of that amount of money per week so I do not consider that a miniscule amount of cash. If you don't care about the locking components being perfect, this is definitely the most effective box for storing jewellry box that I have owned.
