Q: Ok I have it now how do I use it ?

It IS beautiful isn't it. It's really only useful for cone incense (Sandlewood is my favorite). Take the lid and ring off---light the cone, blow it out & put it in carefully so you don't burn your fingers--then replace the ring & lid. It comes with a tiny piece (took awhile to realize it's for stick incense) BUT, the hole is so tiny it would be hard to find any sticks that small and ashes would fall out onto the counter. It's the perfect size for the bathroom and if you find cones that smell great to you it changes the whole atmosphere of the loo. All my guests love it because if you find a good quality cone it permeates the room without a chemical smell.

Q: Can I use rope incense in this?

We didn't test rope incense. So, you'd better not use it for rope incense.

Q: Will this disguise extreme flatulence or just minimal flatulence?

Very funny! However, it’s about the potency of the incense not the burner. For extreme odors you might want to burn more than one incense cone.

Q: Is the lid metal or plastic?

The lid is mostly metal but the top part where you pick it up is plastic; the blue decoration and the copper colored circles below it.
