it's super easy to set up
Until purchasing this TeckNet keyboard and mouse combo pack I'd previously been using a wired set at work - which is always a bit of a pain when in meetings or working from home (like today). I can get by on most occasions using the laptop keys and trackpad, but I find it a lot easier and faster to get work done on a full size keyboard.Seeing the low price of this wireless set I thought I'd give it a go - and since then I've actually retired my wired set to a drawer.First of all, it's super easy to set up. After adding batteries (2x AA in the keyboard, 2x AAA in the mouse - not included), I simply plugged in the usb nano receiver, turned on the switch on the reverse of the mouse and within a couple of seconds it was up and running. I'm currently typing this with the keyboard and mouse paired with my Chromebook, so it's not only Windows compatible :)Build quality is much better than you'd expect for the price. On first use the keys felt a tiny bit 'mushy' and a couple of times it failed to pick up letters, but after a few hours typing these issues were no longer apparent - so don't be put off by initial impressions. The hotkeys at the top (standard fare, browser, email, audio and so) are a nice addition - although I would have liked to have seen the calculator added to the list. Surprisingly, the majority of these keys also worked on ChromeOS as well as Windows. The mouse feels great to use, and has a DPI switch to set the speed. No complaints here at all. When it drops into sleep mode after being left a few minutes idle, it wakes again immediately upon moving the roller wheel or clicking a button. I would have preferred a matte finish so that it was less of a finger-print magnet, but of course this minor personal preference doesn't affect its otherwise perfect performance. The only faults I can pick (and they are *very* minor) are that only the mouse has an on-off switch, so I'm not sure how much additional battery the keyboard will drain when not used (waiting to be woken), and the keys and mouse clicks are a little noisy compared to more expensive alternatives. Oh, and the glaring omission of a caps-lock light. However, for the price this really is a fantastic purchase and great value. In conclusion, this wireless set has made my day job a lot less fiddly when working away from my desk, and both are very comfortable to use on a daily basis. If you are looking for a decent, cheap and frustration-free wireless mouse and keyboard combo, then I'd recommend giving this one a shot.Comes with 18+6 months warranty.

Great Value
I work regularly from home and was frustrated that my wireless keyboard and mouse needed regular battery replacements, and the scroll wheel on the mouse wasn't working. It was time for replacements! My priorities were...(1) wireless - absolutely NO wires please!(2) full size keyboard with quiet keys(3) both keyboard and mouse to be frugal energy consumers - I did NOT want to keep having to find new batteries(4) reliable operation(5) value for money(6) as many additional features as possibleHaving read reviews, it was worth spending £13 for this keyboard/mouse combination, and I haven't been disappointed. The good points:- keyboard is well made, full-size and heavy enough not to move- the battery life on both keyboard and mouse is EXCELLENT. The mouse in particular is brilliant. It has an auto-sleep capability which saves battery life if I forget to use the manual switch.- connectivity was quick and easy - simply plug and play (Windows 7 professional) no issues- as a touch typist, the keyboard is responsive and gives good feedback- with the exception of the spacebar, the keys are pretty quiet - definitely better than the Dell keyboard it replaced. The spacebar isn't terrible, but it's definitely noisier than the rest of the keys- there are additional shortcut buttons on the keyboard and these ALL worked out of the box with my laptop without any problemThe could be improved points:- the mouse has limited functionality - only scroll wheel and "DPI" button, which I think controls the mouse movement speed (however, at this price point I shouldn't complain!)- the slightly noisier spacebar (in comparison with the other keys)- there are volume buttons on the keyboard which work fine (volume up; volume down and mute) - as a right handed person I feel the up and down are the wrong way round (really not a problem, purely aesthetic issue)The bad points:NONE! For this price there is nothing bad!I've been using the combination without problems since September. No battery issues and everything working well. If you need a wireless keyboard/mouse combination then this is an excellent choice. Brilliant value!
