Great, works well...but!!!
This was delivered quite promptly and was easy to use. However, the idea is that a perfectly straight chalk line should be left. In my experience, the chalk line did not immediately appear; you really have to give the line a good twang to get a visible chalk line which means keeping your eye on that spirit level at each attempt. Apart from this it's a good tool.

I pulled it out all the way for the first time and it did not wind back at all the winder just wouldn’t bite it is in the skip at work now it’s a peace of cheap rubbish simple as!!!

It's okay!
On the whole I find Stanley products good value for money. This is probably good value for money considering the cost of what was on offer. It's made of plastic? I have had the same metal chalk line for years and it has been dropped from great height numerous times. Unfortunately once too many and the winding handle broke off. Do not hold much hope for this one! Not great quality, looks like a toy.

Hallo,Im Rahmen meines Umbaus habe ich viele verschiedene Werkzeuge ausprobieren können, und komme zu dem Fazit, dass jeder der ein Werkzeug "gelegentlich" und nicht "selten" benutzt lieber zur markenware greifen sollte.Ich hatte mir eine sehr günstige Schlagschnur zugelegt, die genau eine halbe Seite meines Dachstuhls hielt bevor sie fst genau in der Mitte Riss...Mit der Stanley Schlagschnur habe ich die Restlichen 75% sowie alle Möglichen Anzeichnungen an Mauerwerk, Fussböden etc vorgenommen, und sie ist, wier erwartet, noch wie neu.Kleiner Tipp:Auspacken, auffüllen, und dann mit Seilausgang nach unten 2-3 mal Komplett auziehen. Danach ist das gesamte Seil mit Kreide benetzt.Beim normalen gebrauch zeigt der Seilausgang zum Ausgangspunkt der Schnur.Sollte die schnur wenig oder keine Kreide mehr haben einfach den Ausgang nach unten halten beim Ausziehen.Zum Produkt:Pro:- Robustes Plastikgehäuse- 3Fach Übersetzung, was eine schnelles Aufkurbeln auch bei langer strecke ermöglicht- Stabiler Faden und gute Kralle, mit der man auch Mühelos alleine arbeiten kann- Temporäre Kreide (halbarkeit 1 auf der Skala von 0 bis 4) inbegriffen, die für 2 mal auffüllen, und damit warscheinlich für den Heimwerker für mehrere Jahre, reicht.- gute Sichtbarkeit auf Verschiedenen Untergründen (Holz, Metall, Stein, Tonziegel)Kontra:- Es gibt keine Dichtung zwischen Seil und Auslass, so dass immer ein wenig Kreidepulver austritt, was ich aber verschmerzen kann.
