Good value sander but need to buy accessories for effective dust extraction
Bought to refurbish a yew kitchen counter. Supplied dust filter is rubbish, so had to buy 2 adapters to hook it up to a vacuum for effective dust extraction - which pushed up the effective price. However once set up the sander made light work of the counter and dust was negligible.

Usual Bosch high standard
I bought this principally to do sanding on some kitchen cutting boards I was making. I have a selection of Bosch tools already and when I spotted this on offer, it was a quick decision. Despite what another review says, this DOES have a soft start. That means you can place it on the material being sanded and then turn it on. Much better than turning it on and then placing it on the material as this offer a real risk of immediate jumping and swirl marks. You just need to let it do it's job. Don't apply any more pressure than is necessary to stop it wandering around, take it slow and easy and, if sanding wood, work along the grain. The risk of trying to hurry things and / or applying too much downward pressure is the dreaded swirl marks that are then a real pain to get rid of. It isn't over noisy, and the vibration is perfectly acceptable. It's comfortable to hold. The dust collection box is very good. I was pretty surprised when I saw how much sawdust came out of it after I'd finished my work which, in this case (for the cutting board project) involved multiple sanding with various grit sandpaper, starting at 80 and finishing at 240. The result is a surface that is unbelievably smooth. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Quality Product
I needed an Orbital Sander for redecoration and upcycling furniture. The quality for the price paid was excellent. I was very impressed with the finish I achieved, and once again, Bosch has delivered a product that functions well, without too much vibration.

A great little sander for the price, great lifespan, but a major flaw.
A great little sander for the price, nice and smooth and has a great lifespan. The only let downs are no variable speed. And a major fault with it is the dust collector constantly comes unclipped very easily and spews the dust that it has collected everywhere.

Better than My Belt Sander and Palm Sander
Considering how much i paid for this i do feel like i have had money well spent. As its a good brand that you back, Bosch is a household name and for this i opted in getting this sander. My experience with this sander is based off comparing it to dewalt belt sander and my mcallister palm sander. 1. My single biggest issue with sanders is vibration, especially when me and Mrs are doing projects. It can take a toll on your wrist, but this sander stops that issue by far. Don't get me wrong, there is some vibration, but it's enough to not make your wrist hurt when using it for long periods of time. It really helped my wrist pain decrease. 2. design is a food factor for this as its not too clunky yet not to small where you cant grip it properly , its a decent size and when you are holding it it's not uncomfortable as it has a rubberised grip which helps with your hands. 3. Using the product is great and nice and powerful. However, the lack of speed control on the sander means you cant make those adjustments the way you would like for small projects. I would recommend using this on larger heaftier projects with larger surface areas rather than smaller little projects. Tip - you can get the sanding pads with and without holes , i highly recommend getting the ones with the holes as the sander has a vacuum that can suck all the muck up via the holes on the sander Overall, I think this product is a great piece of kit to add to your arsenal as it could come in handy. I wouldn't replace all my sanders for this, but i would definitely go and grab this first for a project as it's a good all rounder which is usually what you want.

El producto ha funcionado bien. Lo único que después de utilizarlo 3 veces y sin mucha intensidad(2 horas en total de trabajo) ha dejado de funcionar y lo he tenido que devolver. La verdad es que me esperaba más de la marca Bosch
