VANSON '57 Alnico II PAF style Zebra Humbucker SET (Neck & Bridge) for Gibson, Epiphone, ZEBRA (SET)

Just put these in my Epiphone les paul. was a bit dubious at first because of price but snobbery has well and trulygone out the window they are fantastic.Compared to my old humbuckers( which were factory fitted) they are so bright the low end stands out much more as well.Admittingly i had to lower the high E side on the bridge pick up because it rang just a little high for mebut thats preferential. bang on for the money full marks

Put in a home built strat. Great warm clean tone and drives to a lovely creamy distortion, but not the best string separation and you have to be on the ball with the tone knobs to stop it getting all a bit muddy when switching positions. These went into a swamp ash body with a Rosewood neck so I suspect they would work far better in a naturally brighter guitar with an ash/alder body and maple board. This would bring out the best from Alinco II magnets. I'm toying to seeing for Vanson's equivalent pup with Alnico Vs. Overall happy, not an elite level pickup, but for the price, excellent.

Amazed at the level of upgrade from stock Epiphone buckers.Fitted to my 70s Jap Les and it's now a totally different axe,giving the genuine article a good run for its money.The guy who did the installation has several Gibsons himself so he should know.Buy with confidence you won't regret it

Don't waste £170 extra on some SD slash pickups, these are just as good!Low output alnico 2 in a Les Paul through a Marshall = Appetite for Destruction

hard to believe how good these are for 30 bucks. i compare them to my SD!

Made a significant improvement to the brightness and clarity of tone on my Epiphone Dot.
