It works without the need of an external driver, it's a plug 'n play interface with just a single button for pairing and a single LED. Just with a long press of 4 seconds you are in pairing mode and you can then put your headphones in pairing mode as well and the two devices will link each other automatically after 4 to 5 seconds: done.If your headphones are aptX capable this receiver will immediately use the aptX LowLatency protocol in order to give good audio quality, low latency for games and video/movies consumption and the capability of driving an input stream through the headphones microphone.I highly recommend this product if you own a pair of high end or good bluetooth headphones, most of the gaming ones are just overprices and easy to break, they don't give any real advantage over a good stereo setup. And you can also activate Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos on this receiver, for a great binaural experience while playing games! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect Audio Sync with PS4 Pro *by L***R on 16 April 2019* I've bought audio receivers for my PS4 before so I can use my Sony headset and not have to fork out more money just to buy the official PlayStation headset. But none of the previous USB dongles I purchased would connect with any of my Bluetooth headsets/earphones. But this Creative dongle works absolutely perfectly with the PS4 Pro (I've not tested it on anything else so can't say with guarantee that it works on Xbox One).CONNECTION:Both my Sony XM3 and two pairs of my wireless earbuds (MPOW & Anker) connect with the dongle perfectly. Simply slot the dongle into the USB port and hold the button for a few seconds until the blue light flashes, putting it into pairing mode. You'll hear a woman's voice on your headset/earphones confirming your device has been connected and away you go.AUDIO:I've played various games for various hours at a time and I've not once witnessed any audio drop outs or distortion/audio lag. Which is really impressive having a solid connection no matter what you play and for how long.NOTE:This only works for audio in gaming. It does not receive or support voice audio/chat, which is quite unfortunate if you play in parties and require online chat.
