Harris Bonsai Soil, All Purpose Premium Blend for Outstanding Growth, 2qt

I usually make my own soil mixes, have been for nearly 15+ years now, because a good one is hard to find. Even the better ones you usually still end up having to add to cause its always something lacking and drainage is important, or even how it holds water/drying. I’ll admit I wanted to be a bit lazier this time around, instead of the usual search for 7-10 different ingredients I would mix. So spent some time looking since I bought a new bonsai that is fairly small. I’m used to working with bigger varieties and larger pots or more terrarium type plants. First appearance. This is a excellently blended mix, really no complaints at all. Plant loves it after a few days the results speak for itself, the new growth has been booming fast. Used to seeing more stress when repotting, but it seemed to enjoy the new pot and better soil showing no signs. It came pre-potted in a very small pot with a pretty bad mix that was clearly too dense. Weirdly hard to find a lot of soil mixes that use something as simple as lime… And I don’t think the average plant grower knows how important it is. Thanks Harris for saving me a lot of trouble and time, I also feel its priced well. I bought 2 smaller bags just in case, but 1 was plenty for one bonsai.

Good soil

The Bonsai Soil exceeded my expectations! It’s well-draining and has a great texture, which makes it easy to work with when repotting or planting bonsai trees. My plants seem healthier and happier since switching to this soil—roots are thriving and I’ve noticed better moisture control compared to regular potting mixes. The packaging was secure and the quantity was generous for the price. Highly recommended for anyone looking to give their bonsai the best possible growing environment!

I sowed 4 different bonsai seeds on December 10th and 3 have sprouted. I moved them into individual pots and used this soil on January 5th. The bonsai seedlings seem to be perfectly happy in this soil. I will order again.

I have used this soil for all my new Bonsai start up plants. Well balanced soil and a great price and company.

This is a great mix for succulents and cactus or to mix in potting soil for some drainage for your plants I love it and have bought it numerous times.

My bonsai was on the brink of dieing. When I got it the plant went from cooler temps to a warm house, which in turn made all my branches and leaves die off. I decided what could it hurt so I cut off all the dead and planted in this mixture. My picture tell it all, since using this mixture my bonsai is sprouting new life like crazy. I will continue to use this mixture for my bonsai!

This soil did not work well for my black pine. Idk if it's the Ph level or what, but I propagated 3 different times and used this soil for immediately after transplanting the first time and my locusts thrived but my pines died after about a week consistently. NOT all purpose imo.
