We use it maybe once every 2 weeks and this seal lasted less than a year.

Easy to replace and works well
The original seal must have been at least 6 years old and had started to make its way out of the safety release hole on the edge of the lid allowing a tiny jet of steam out. The new seal fitted easily and doesn't leak at all. It also suggests annual replacement on the packaging!
