Happier than I thought I'd be
Upon receiving this item I thought it quite large and bulky. It is as it looks in the photo. It does take at least three standard ID cards. It is a tight fit though and so I advise you NOT to put cards into this that you need to take out. This is ideal for NFC (Near Field Communications) such as security barriers and doors. I have three NFC cards -which is what I use it for and one photo ID that does not require removal from the holder. The holder is leather with an opening for the cards that seals with Velcro. It has four strong eyelets (one in each corner) and can be hung around the neck with a removable lanyard (not supplied). It has a no-removable Velcro fastening wrist strap which, I thought looked big and clumsy on the wrist.I chose to buy an extra long, extra strong retractable key holder that clips securely to my belt. This makes it much easier for me to reach barrier or door NFCs without having to fumble through for my individual cards to enter the various buildings at work.Even with a number of cards within this rather chunky leather holder I have not yet had a failure to communicate.

Good and Bad
First off I like and use this item. It's my second one (in 3 years) and I'll get another one when this wears out but it's got some bad points and I would get a different one if the price was as low as this.First the good:It's smart looking, the belt loop is great and it fits comfortably on my arm.The bad:The plastic screen can leech the image from your ID leaving a shadow of your face on it (took 3 years for me). I just stick a bit of tape over the photo and it's not a problem anymore but still it's a sign of it's cheapness. It's a little fiddly to get the card in and out (not that you need to) and the second one I got had an overlap on the velcro obscuring more of the card than I would have liked. And last off is a biggie (though not an issue for me). The neck strap has no break away! Yes that's right if you wear this around your neck it makes a handy garotte for any wood be assailant. It's cheap and it does the job and as there isn't much of a non-plastic alternative I recommend it to friends.

Worth buying!
This I find was well made, with Velcro card enclosure. Making a violent card removal impossible. The three way , belt, arm and lanyard position great! Reinforced eyelets and adjustable elastic arm band with Velcro positions. A useful item for anyone working in this industry.

Good all round and versitile ID protector
I needed one of these pretty badly for work, as my previous one was falling apart. Spotted this on Amazon and loved the reported toughness and versitiliy and the fact it is used by security and military people. So bought one and wow! Its built like a brick........outhouse! It seems the only way this thing will be destroyed is to throw it away!Only downer (hence 4 stars) is that the leather boarder is too broad and hides critical ID info, so I have to partially remove my ID card to show hidden details - defeats the object really. But a good by anyway. And can be stapped onto arm or threaded onto you belt.Good purchase.

Just what you need
Not much I can get enthusiastic about in an ID holder.I have an ID card with a chip that needs swiping over a plate to access my work building. I ride a bike and wanted something that would make the job easy without having to get off, remove gloves and fumble in pocket for my ID.This thing lets me chuck it on my forearm and just ride up to the plate, quickly waving my arm over the plate. For inside use, the armband folds away and I use the eyelets to attach the holder to a belt clip instead.Job's a good'un.

Shame to be honest.
Would of been a good if it lasted longer then 3 hours and didn't snap my badge, probaby a really good piece of kit for doorman or a static guard but if you get in and out of a car or van more then 3 times don't expect it to last long. Made out of a really thin leather (if you can even call it leather) Not going to lie really gutted look really smart.

Does not have a breakaway lanyard. But fine as an armband
