Smooth and large high-quality puzzle mat, with straps, bag, and trays.
Leveled up! I’d bought a felt mat when I first decided to try puzzles a couple years ago, and when we moved countries, I tossed it - it collected cat hair, puzzle dust, and regular ol’ dust and was pretty gross by the time I ditched it. This has a wonderfully smooth surface and a nice rubber backing. That prevents it sliding around on your surface of choice, and it really does help level out a surface, like our distressed coffee table. Seams in a tabletop like a foldable table will disappear entirely. The construction is basically exactly like a mouse pad, just much larger. It feels a little thinner than my mouse pad, but the texture is exactly the same as a mouse pad, on both sides. While the puzzle dust didn’t immediately brush off, after I tipped a puzzle out onto it, a Swiffer cloth removed a good portion of it. I’m betting a car slime will do the rest quite easily. The benefit of the smooth surface over a felt mat is that the pieces don’t get caught on it, a huge upgrade in my book, especially on puzzles like Radiating Rainbow Mandalas from Ravensburger, where rotating any of the completed stones was awful on the felt to the point I put them together on paper and then carefully slid them perfectly into place…which is a fine solution, but hardly elegant. And on large builds you may have to move the edges around a bit to even them out, which on the felt was an infuriating task. Even an inexpensive touristy puzzle from 1998 didn’t get caught or snagged, and that’s pretty awesome. I pick up odd puzzles here or there and I’m excited that I won’t struggle with them anymore as a result of poor cut quality, which happens often on small brands and larger ones alike (we don’t talk about the Disney Princesses puzzle in this establishment). It is LARGE. It fits pretty perfectly on my coffee table, and it’s big enough to hold Ravensburger 2000 puzzles, which is exactly what I wanted. The felt mat was not quite large enough which was frustrating, picking one edge or the other to hold the top or bottom edge pieces, not both. This comes with a genuine pool noodle style roll, which is a huge upgrade from the inflatable tube the previous felt mat had, which deflated very quickly and was on the whole annoying to use as the surface was slick. The noodle has texture which makes rolling this up easy, if it was slick, the surface of the mat would make it annoying or impossible. I haven’t tested rolling up an in-progress large puzzle yet, I’ve only done smaller ones, but I’ll report back and add edits when I do try it. I don’t know if the diameter is large enough to prevent the pieces wanting to flex apart or not. I think this is an exceptional value, it’s high quality across the board. It comes with some snap-together trays which I haven’t put together yet as I prefer my round Cobble Hill trays as the dust falls through and the round shape is a pretty economical one for holding pieces, but I expect I’ll have a use for them at some point to hold smaller sections’ pieces. It also comes with Velcro cinch straps and a carrying drawstring bag. I don’t know that I would carry any partially completed puzzle in it given that the surface is smooth and that might cause a big problem, but the rubberized back might be enough to hold the pieces in place. I’m certainly not brave enough to try it out! But for horizontal porting from table to a storage area, the cover will keep it contained and ward off dust, something less frequent puzzlers or those with interrupted solving time will rather like. I like the outlines, but I don’t know how on or off the mark they may be when it comes to major brand standard sizes. I do like the idea that the straight lines will help me better eyeball when I’m building edges to see where I might be missing a piece, but there is also a round outline. I don’t own any round puzzles so I can’t visualize whether it would be helpful or is just there for show. Don’t waste money on any other mat unless you don’t need one this large, this ticks every single box for what I want in a mat, and solves every single issue I had with the felt mat perfectly!

Pohxev Jigsaw Puzzle Mat Roll Up: A Game-Changer for Puzzle Lovers
I'm a parent to an 11-year-old daughter who absolutely loves competitive puzzling, and I cannot tell you enough how much the **Pohxev Jigsaw Puzzle Mat Roll Up** has changed things around my house. My daughter spends hours putting together puzzles, often working on large ones that can take days to complete. The problem? Our dining room table would get overtaken by pieces, and with family meals, it was hard to leave the puzzle out without disrupting everything. This puzzle mat has been the perfect solution. Pros: 1. Perfect for Practice: My daughter is passionate about competitive puzzling, and this mat allows her to practice her skills without taking up permanent space on the dining room table. The 45" x 30" mat sits well on our table, accommodating up to 2000 pieces, which is ideal for her latest puzzle challenge. Set up in the morning, and with the ability to work on it through most of the day, before tucking it away neatly rolled-up, at dinner time: No mess, no fuss. 2. Easy to Roll Up and Store: The best part is how easy it is to roll up and store the puzzle at the end of each day. The mat has a velcro strap that secures it tightly, and the pieces stay in place — no more scrambling to keep pieces from sliding all over the floor. This has been a game-changer because my daughter can keep her puzzle intact and ready to go for the next session, without worrying about losing any piece. 3. High Quality and Durable: The material of the mat itself is of great quality, sturdy, and durable. I was afraid that with all the rolling and unrolling, it would damage the pieces of the puzzle, but it has held up great. The surface is smooth, and the pieces of the puzzle fit snugly into it, so nothing slid around even when the mat was rolled up. It's also easy to clean, which is a big plus. 4. Great for Family Use: While my daughter is the main one using it, we've found the mat to be great for family puzzle nights as well. It's easy to unroll for a quick session, and when it's time for dinner, we just roll it back up and resume the next time. Cons: Honestly, I don't have any big complaints. The mat is large, so it can take up some space when unrolled, but that's a small price to pay for the convenience it offers. If anything, I'd suggest measuring your available space before purchasing to ensure it fits well in your area. Conclusion: The Pohxev Jigsaw Puzzle Mat Roll Up has been a fantastic purchase for our family. It has allowed my daughter to practice her competitive puzzling without the stress of taking over the entire table, and it's made it so much easier to store her puzzles when we need the space for other activities. If you have a budding puzzler in the family, or if you simply enjoy working on large puzzles, this mat is an absolute must-have. It's perfect for keeping the puzzles whole, organized, and ready to continue at any time.

Easy to use, product as promised
This is a great product. The puzzle pieces move easily across the surface and it’s great to be able to roll up the puzzle and carry it or protect it from my dog. My only complaint is the carry-on bag is a little bit too tight. The roll seems to fit OK without the puzzle but once the puzzle pieces are inside, the bag is very tight and hard to put on.

Great defense against puzzle-loving cats
I love this puzzle mat! It’s so practical, especially to protect your progress from playful cats. You can move your in-progress puzzle anywhere without fear of breaking or losing pieces. This is great if you do your puzzling on the dining room table and need to move it for Christmas dinner. The little storage trays snap together quickly and are perfect for sorting pieces into separate categories. The gridlines on the mat are a helpful spatial guide. It rolls up easily and stores well. It makes a great gift.

A GREAT puzzle mat!
Hey there fellow puzzlers! There are so many options out there for puzzle mats and I did some research before purchasing. This one is the BEST! It has a nice smooth surface to be able to move & slide pieces around (a felt material surface would "catch" on the cardboard pieces). This mat is well marked allowing you to assemble a variety of size puzzles. It has a great storage case with a firm foam cylinder (not a hollow tube) to be able to secure the pieces as you roll it up to store. The little snap-together storage trays are a nice bonus too. As for keeping it clean, it doesn't gather much of anything except some of the cardboard "dust" from the puzzle pieces. We just take it outside and shake it, slide our hand over it and it comes right off! I had read on a previous review about using a lint roller to remove all the cardboard dust and that works great also! I would have given this product a full 5 stars but it did arrive with a flaw in the rubber material on the backside that I thought at first had gone through to the front but it did not. So... I give it 4.75 stars. A great product to add for all your puzzling fun!

Easy to use and stores well!
I like the mat's size ability for puzzles. It will hold a VERY large one down to a smaller one with ease. It is easy to roll up and store, seems sturdy for longevity and keeps the puzzle pieces from moving around. The puzzle does tend to come apart a little when it rolls up, but it goes back together easily as the puzzle doesn't move.

Great puzzle mat, but not perfect
I debated over a roll up puzzle mat and a wooden puzzle board. I'm happy with this mat overall, but it's important to note that you need a fair bit of the puzzle completed before rolling it up or it can break the puzzle apart a bit. Also you don't want any loose pieces. I haven't stored it long enough to find out if pieces get bent. I find having to put the pieces in the sorting trays a bit annoying because you spend so long turning them over at the start of the puzzle and then when you roll the puzzle up you need to dump all the loose pieces into the trays and they get turned over again. The positive is that you can spend this time sorting the pieces by color. But when you lay the puzzle out again, you dump the tray contents out and have to flip them all over again! Another thing to note is that the crease in the mat from having it arrive folded took a long time to even out and ironing did not help much. It just took time. It's too bad it doesn't arrive just rolled up. Overall I think I'm going to get a puzzle board and store it under the couch - I think I'll end up doing puzzles more frequently. The time to stow away the puzzle on the mat is a bit of a deterrent.

Excellent product;
Bought this for my senior mom so we can do puzzles when I go to see her in the care home and roll it up and save for the next time. The mat has a rubber bottom which is great to hold to the table. Love the little fabric containers it comes with to organize pieces, great idea! Easy to use great price!

RUBBER MAT for Jigsaw Puzzle: VERY satisfied 99%
I bought this a while ago but never got to try it. Finally had the opportunity yesterday with a puzzle that I bought second hand. The puzzle wasn’t new but overall it was in good shape. The mat was good for guidance and overlapped the table cracks where the table insert goes. Then came the little snap-together puzzle piece separators. I thought I wouldn’t use them… until I did. I separated pieces early. Edges, sky, canoes, earthy-dirt, and of course the building in the foreground were all separated in the easy-to-assemble snap-together separators! I assembled the puzzle in 2 days so I didn’t have to roll it up and put it away for later, HOWEVER, since I have reviewed products previously I decided that once the puzzle was completed I would roll it up according to instructions and monitor the results. In general it did what it was intended to do but the results weren’t perfect. I was pleased with those results. I took before and after photos for you to see the results and judge the product for yourself. Hopefully I can post 2 photos with this review! If NOT, then I will only post the AFTER photo and I’ll ask that you assume that the puzzle was correct beforehand. Thanks for your time reading this and I hope my review helps your purchase decision.
