Good,reliable
I like these thermostats I have them on 3 enclosures powering heat lamps and heat mats and the uvb bulb. Through the thermostat you can set each outlet to different dates and times and temps for the first 2 outlets that come with probes. I find the probes to be fairly accurate maybe being .5 to 1 degree off but close enough not to matter. Programming the outlets was a little confusing at first but once figured out makes sense. Like that I can set each timer and the lights just run themselves.

Simple and reliable.
This is actually the best setup I’ve had for controlling light, temperature and humidity levels in our custom from habitat. We have used multiple setups but this is just set and forget. The plants and frogs have never done better.

Excellent Control for Reptile Terrium
***2 Year Update*** Well Unfortunately one of the geckos passed away a few months ago (nothing to do with this controller) so now I am only using one of these (for now) but they are both still working perfectly. Still have not had a longer power outage that the 8 hour one so no idea how long they will keep settings. I would highly recommend these. **** 18 Month Update**** Not much to add other than to say I did get a second one and both are going strong still! I love that they keep all settings through a power outage (or being unplugged) for at least 8 hours (that's the longest outage we have had since getting these). The first one has now been moved back and forth to college a couple times and is working like new despite being knocked around a little! ***Original Review**** I purchased this unit to control the lighting and heating for one of my daughter's leopard gecko terrariums. I got this because it can control one timered outlet (for lighting) and two SEPERATE heating sources. So in this setup I have output one connected to an under-tank heater (Leo's are crepuscular and so need belly heat), output two controls the heat lamp, and output three (timered) controls the UVB lamp. So far (we have only had this a week) it has been working very well! Also I found it to be fairly easy to program and it did come with an instruction manual. To setup the temperature control outlets (1 and 2), you first select an "On Time" and then an "Off Time" to set the period of time you want temperature control to operate. Then you set the "On Temp" and "Off Temp" to control the behavior of the outlet (heating or cooling as desired). You then have the option of setting a high temp alarm (AH), a low temp alarm (AL), and finally to set the temperature calibration (only full degrees F from -12 to +12 differential). I believe you can change from F to C but I am fine with the default F. One thing I was disappointed to find is that the temperature-controlled outlets DO NOT have a day night function. Only the timered outlet (number 3) can be setup to run at two different times (two on times and two off times per day) but it is either on or off. The heating (or cooling if you need that) outlets are one on time and one off time per day only. The temperature probes were fairly accurate (within 1 or 2 degrees F) verse a known accurate (calibrated) thermometer. The temperature probes do not appear to be waterproof but that wasn't an issue in my use case. I can't speak to durability yet but so far so good. I will periodically come back to this review to update as needed. If all goes well with this unit, I might just get another one for the other Leo we have.

Good but a little to simple.
So I bought this product thinking it could do a certain thing, but it cant. But I am not going to hold that against it in the review. Oh and mine did come with it's instructions and it was simple to set up. If you are getting the impression that the device will let you set a day time schedule and a night time schedule, It will not. You get 3 programmable outlets. Outlet 1 and 2 each have their own temp sensor. On outlet 1 and 2 you can only program a single schedule. (The product will mislead a little in thinking you can set 2 schedules on each outlet, but only outlet 3, which has no sensor, supports 2 schedules.) In short, you can program outlet 1 and 2 with a single schedule for when those outlets are active. During that active period, it will apply power until that desired temperature is reached. You cannot set it to a temp for day and a temp for night. Just an active period. Outside of that schedule the outlets are just off no matter the temp. Setting the temps can be a bit confusing because they have an On temp, and an Off temp. But the Off temp is the desired temp. The on temp does sort of do what it says, but its main use is so the thermostat knows if its heating of cooling. If the On temp is higher than the Off temp, its cooling. If the On temp is lower than the Off temp, it knows its heating. Why they opted to do this with 2 temperatures to create a range, instead of just a toggle for heat or cold, I dont know. Maybe it avoids mistakes? In short, if you are trying to set up a thermostat for your reptile so the heater/cooler can maintain the perfect temperature for a night and a day schedule, this is not the thermostat for you. But, lets say you had 2 seperate tanks you had to cool and either didnt have to worry about a night temp or are going to leave it on all the time, this might be a good fit for you. Overall, the product itself is nice. The memory backup works although im not sure if its tied to a battery. That battery does not seem replaceable if it is. The build feels solid. The display is easy to read and its backlight is only active if you press a button so its not going to keep you up at night. And the sensors appear accurate with the ambient temp of my room. It sadly just doesnt fit my use case. Its really intended for either 2 beds/tanks or at least a reptile tank with multiple heaters.

Heating outlets do not work
We bought this because we needed a timed thermostat for our death feigning beetle enclosure, so that it heats during the day, but not at night. When we first plugged it in and set it up, the ceramic heat emitter turned on at the correct time, and shut off at the correct time that evening. The next morning, it did not kick on at the set time. All the settings were correct, but the heat emitter still would not turn on. I thought maybe the thermostat needed a reset, so I unplugged it, and unplugged the heat emitter. I waited 10 minutes and plugged them both back in. The heat emitter kicked on, and stayed on until the set time to turn off in the evening. The following morning, it did the same thing. The only way to get it to turn the on emitter on again was to unplug everything again, wait a few minutes and plug it all back in. Same thing yesterday and the day before, and again this morning. The 3rd outlet which is not for heat, but is for the day light kicks on and off when it is supposed to. It has no issues. It's just the heat outlets. I will be sending this back and asking for a refund. I should not have to keep unplugging it and plugging everything back in to get the heat outlet to work every day. The whole point of the timer is for it to do it for me.

Does the job
Works well needed to read instruction 2x to program it. More options than I really needed.

Loud and annoying buttons
It was a pain to try and get it going and figure out what everything was, but once I got it, it works great. Keeps my bearded dragon at the appropriate temps 24/7 and I no longer have to panic about his lights being accidentally left on over night. I have been looking for something like this for a while and it works great. Im switching all of my animals to this instead of the group system already have. The buttons to program it are very annoying and I try to avoid messing with them as much as possible because of it, but other than that it’s great. Edit: An annoying thing I found, I can’t have it set to turn the lights on or off without messing the timer. On my other systems I can, but not this one. It makes it easier for cleaning if I can turn the lights off as needed and turn them back on without messing with the timers.

Fantastic
This is awesome. Easy to set, it lets me easily have two seperate thermostat controlled heat sources with timers, plus one other timer. We built a diy big double level enclosure for our bearded dragon and I was dreading the power bar with all of the timers. This one device did everything, it's exactly what I was wanting and I didn't even know if such a thing existed so I'm thrilled. Also the price is awesome. I paid 45$ for ONE thermostat, let alone the timer to go with it.

Good purchase but...
It could be better if i could either piv a temps limit AND a timer for the two first ports
