Because it looked good
Yes, we got it because we really liked the look, and we are a UCF family. As others have mentioned it is a very lightweight towel. But it works fine for the beach or a beach chair. Will it hold up? So far fine making it through a whole summer. We have no regrets. It was a fun little gift.

The towel is pretty thin for the price. It might be able to soak up a water spill on the kitchen floor but it won’t hold up for a wet body at the beach or pool.
