High thermal conductivity heatsink
Haven't used these yet but they seem to be good quality! My laptop kept on overheating and the fan was constantly on. I knew this was not a good sign, something had to be done.I did some research and found that on many low to mid end laptops, the component used to cool down the processor/graphics card, is made of a low grade thermal material. Overtime the material can degrade and lose the ability to cool down the CPU adequately, which in turn causes the overheating.Copper has a high thermal conductivity which means it is very effective in drawing out the heat from where needed. The manufacturer claims the copper shims have a much higher thermal conductivity than ordinary copper.

Perfect cooling solution for Samsung 950 Pro SSD
Used these in combination with "arctic silver thermal adhesive" and a strip of thermal pad to provide a cooling solution for Samsung 950 Pro SSD. The 950 pro sits on the UNDER side of my motherboard in a semi-passively cooled bitfenix prodigy. (read: no fans when not gaming.) I am unable to reach throttling temperatures on the drive during testing even while the case fans are not running, but I did not test the drive's thermals before hand so you're mileage may vary. (though this solution is surely light years ahead of NO cooling)

Only needed one, but the 19 others made fine ninja stars!!
No one ever went to costco and picked up one roll of toilet paper, so when you need one copper shim you cant just buy one. You get a case of twenty. The one I needed fit perfect. The other 19 doubled as; ninja stars, fidget toys, small stacked ant fort, kitchen table leg shim, ghetto copper jewellery, square pogs!

Nicer finish than expected
I got these to help with cooling down my RAM and Super I/O chip. They come finished much better than expected, so I just had to use my polish to get any extra dirt and tarnish off of the side I glued. I haven't tested how much they help with the heat since my laptop still has pads coming in the mail. My Super I/O chip has zero airflow so I actually cut one shim several times about 2mm down all the way around and then attached it to another shim that was then attached to the chip. Just to give it more surface area for heat to dissipate. I just used 2 shims for each RAM card because they get airflow. Will update after I get the other parts on the heat dissipation the do or do not help with

It's copper, it's flat, it does it's job. Great for replacing inferior thermal pads on CPU, GPU, etc.
Product as described and works great, just double-check the exact thickness that you need before ordering. I have found that I can cut the pieces to a customized size using a vice (use wood shims to protect the copper surface) and a hacksaw. The rough edges are easily smoothed over using a medium course flat file / knife sharpener. Don't try to cut to size using tin snips or the like or you will bend your piece and you want it to remain perfectly flat. Wash your hands before installing and clean the copper well with 91% isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth.. Combine with a high-quality thermal paste.

Good with Kraken G10 on AMD 7950
Works like a champ. Got this because it fits between my AMD 7950 and Corsair H55 cooler (I have a Kraken G10 setup and certain AMD cards have a frame of sorts around the gpu die, requiring a copper shim). Since this is a pack of like 12 or whatever, I'll be using them for all my future gpu cooling needs! If it matters to you, thsee shims are exactly the dimensions of the 9700 series AMD gpu's so if you are rough with the cooler you're going to wiggle it around and potentially scoot it off the GPU. Also, be careful not to use too much thermal paste :-D
