no once the alarm has gone off once it never stops. Even after its unplugged

Does the second hand make a ticking noise or is it silent?

My Swan Vintage Teasmade is almost silent, I sleep with my head within two feet of the machine and I don,t hear any ticking, my hearing very good. I hope this is of some help.
