Q: Would this be good for airsoft or paintball without installing the hard cup ?

Coming from someone who has been shot in the private area by a paintball gun before without a cup, I would say go with a harder cup. This one would be okay, but occasionally when I get kicked or punched with this cup on I can still feel it. It would probably be good for airsoft, but with paintballs I can’t see this cup providing as much protection as you want. Hope this helps.

Yes, it can be worn by women as well as it is unisex.

Q: What does it mean easy on easy off? My old groin strap I had to take my shorts off first, does this have a Velcro?

No Velcro. You still have to take your shorts off unless you're wearing outside your clothes :) I don't recommend that
