The problem initially was that it didn't list Niacin, which is a vital vitamin for ducklings. I contacted the company who responded saying that it does contain 52mg/Kg of Niacin (which is the required amount for ducks) BUT that it was not required to list the Niacin content as the amount is below the Statutory requirements. I wrote again to Fancy Feeds to ask them to reconsider the position and remove any uncertainty by listing the Niacin content explicitly. They responded again and have amended their website (see image) and will amend new packaging labels to show 52mg / Kg. Great to see this company responding to customers in such a productive way, so I amended my review to 5/5 and would recommend their product to duck as well as poultry owners. As they are chick crumbs , there is some medication, plus protein for growth. **Q: The crumb, when thrown out to the pond doesn't go far and the ducklings do not come up close. How do you feed it to them?** A: Crumb is just a feed for young chicks **Q: How long does it last and is it suitable for bewly hatched chicks** A: Lasts a while for a few chicks and yes suitable from newly hatched. The chicks haven't eaten much yet but as they grow I'm sure they will. My only gripe is that I'm seeing random pieces of what seems like blue rock in the bag.
