And the hold is exactly what I was looking for. The texture is almost thick paste. However as all heard balms act, rubbing it into your hands it dissolves. Because it’s a strong hold, you only need a small amount. Too much of this and your beard will become too difficult to comb and loose it’s natural shape because of the overwhelming hold of the balm. What I’ve found with other balms is that it’s too light. Although others have varying different scents and textures, you get a weak hold and it doesn’t allow your beard to stay the shape you want it for very long. This balm is closest contender for that purpose. I have a fairly long beard and the style of mine has changed over the years, now it’s long, with a developed moustache, I have gone for the god of war style beard. Kraytos style. (Or at least it’s getting there) to keep it that shape. You need hold. I put it on when I am out of the shower (beard nearly dry) small amount rubbed in then I quickly whiz the wife’s hairdryer over it. Or if I am running out of time I just apply a small amount and style it with a comb.
