Good for the price. Does what it is intended to do, just be aware head is not flexible.
I bought this with a view to extracting my wife's earring from the sink. In the event the earring had disappeared already but that is no fault of the tool, which works as expected and is good value. Definitely worth having in your toolbox for those occasions where you drop a bolt or something down the innards of your engine. If you're going to need to get it around a corner/bend then be aware that whilst the majority of the length of the tool is flexible and springy, the head of the tool - i.e. the bit that houses the grapple claw - is 7cm long and is not flexible.

Well worth it.
Really useful to have around the house. Can be used to grab dropped items in hard to reach places. As described, did the job. Quality seemed fine. No problems.

Get a grip.
A clever device which enables you to retrieve items from places your hand can't reach. For example, you drop your parking ticket down the gap between your driving seat and the transmission tunnel. The gap is too narrow to get your hand in. If you do get it in, you won't get it out without losing a lot of skin. In desperation you slide the seat forwards. Unfortunately this mangles the ticket. By now you are too weak to pick up the car, turn it over and shake it. This device solves the problem. Press the button and keep it pressed. This causes the four spring-loaded claws to open. Push the tool down the gap. When you meet the card relax the button. The claws will close firmly on the card and stay closed. Withdraw the tool, retrieve the card and drive off feeling rather smug. If this, or something similar, only happens once it is well worth the money. At this low price, buy a couple, one for the car and one for the house. Or give them as useful presents - from Santa Claws. Get a grip.

Slightly different to the model listed
The model supplied is slightly different to the model advertised. The one I received has a red plastic end the claw protrudes from which is elongated to incorporate 2 small magnets. Fortunately it still fit in the space I was retrieving an object from.Looks to be well made & is easy to operate.

Paid for itself within minutes of delivery
This item arrived this morning and within minutes of unpacking it had proved very usedful.I retreived: 2 parking stickers, 1 sweet wrapper, 1 hair elastic and a 50p coin from down the side of the car seat.Next up the items down the back of a rather heavy dresser unit that I don't fancy emptying and moving.I thought it would fail to grab onto a family sized box of tissues until I turned it around and used the handle end to drag it out. I was then able to retreive a long lost floral hair clip that had been underneath. It seems rather light weight so I don't know how it would fare with heavier objects, but in most cases if it is small and there is enough of an edge for it to grab onto it will do so.The trigger button is a bit stiff. If you had arthritis or are a bit frail you may find it a bit difficult but otherwise i have no complaints.Nifty little gadget.

handy pickle picker
Its basically like a longer reach + stronger pickle picker. One of those handy things you wish you and more importantly remember that you own one and where you left it last.Imagination is key here as there are so many things it can help with,e.g. bolts fallen into the engine bay, litter in hard to reach places ,pulling cables from within wall cavities, moving cables behind flatscreen tvs that are hung 5cm from the the wall, grab peas that have escaped under the fridge.Maybe even pinch spiders from a far?Although not rigid enough for scrubbing you can get it to lock onto a good wedge of cleaning cloth and then dust/disinfect hard to reach places. After reading other peoples review comments I will be taking this thing to plug hole, see what I can find :)It requires quiet a lot of effort to push out the (4) claws, so I do not think its suitable for people with weak hands.

I have used this tool many times since for fiddly jobs and it is a very very useful. I should have bought one years ago
I bought this little gadget because whilst spraying WD40 into the barrels of a motorcycle I am restoring the little red tube came off and disappeared into the spark plug hole! It was a long shot that it would grab it as I didn't really want to take out the engine just to retrieve this tube. To cut a long story short, I managed to get it out with a Henry vacuum cleaner with a conical rubber adapter at the end. The tool grabbed it but couldn't get it back through the spark plug hole. Doh! I have used this tool many times since for fiddly jobs and it is a very very useful. I should have bought one years ago.

fantistic idea
headline says it all . needed to clear blocked drain holes in my car. i knewwhat i wanted but everywhere i went they did not understand what it was, so in desperation i checked amazon and THERE IT WAS what i wanted. as soon as it turned up it was put to work clearing the blocked drain holes and removing all the acculumated muck and debris from the most inacessable places in the engine bay of my car. in the home this is invaluable in keeping the plug holes clear of hair in the bathroom with 3 women in the house with long hair this is a never ending task but with this it is now done in a matter of seconds. this could also be used by the elderly to pick small things up off the floor. this is now my number one favourite tool.
