Review: Great heartrate monitor - This is the first HRM and fitness tracker I've owned so I can't compare it to anything, but I love it (I've had it for around a month now). What I like is: - the strap is soft and comfortable - I wear it all day and night; - the supplied H7 strap fits me (I measure 29 inches under my bust and I wear it on its smallest setting); - it was easy to set up with my phone (Galaxy S5 Neo) and laptop (I'm a technophobe); - I can set my own heart rate zones or use the Polar suggested ones. I can use the laptop to set up an interval workout (ie 1 min in zone 4, rest in zone 2 for 2 mins etc), and when I do the workout with the HRM, the watch vibrates when I'm either out of the specified zone, or when I go into the right zone (long vibrates if out of zone, a short vibrate when I go into the right zone); - the supplied HRM talks automatically to the HR display on the Life Fitness gym equipment I use so I can always see my real time heart rate without looking at the watch; - the battery life is good - Polar say it lasts 8 hours when using the HRM. I have used it for 6 hours continuously with the HRM, then had another week's use out of it without charge. Charging then only takes one hour; - the watch stores some workout history so I can see average and max heart rates for a particular session, plus calories burned and the HR zones I've worked in if I've set them up, or alternatively the amount of time I've spent working in the fat burning or cardio zones (Polar calculates the HR at which you switch between these, I don't think you can change it); - the watch vibrates if I receive a telephone call/text message etc (helpful as when I'm out I never hear my mobile ringing in my handbag). I'd say the negatives are: - looks a bit 1980's - there are sleeker looking fitness watches, but I went for this because it has one of the most accurate HRMs; - I've had a couple of syncing issues with my phone, but it has always synced on the 2nd attempt. If you're looking for an accurate HRM and don't need GPS, this is a really good watch. Other fitness watches don't have such accurate HRMs. I'm not sure how accurate the step count or sleep monitor is, but it's nice that you don't have to actively switch the sleep monitor on, the watch somehow knows when you go to sleep. Review: Great item, get the chest strap HR monitor option though. - Lovely fitness tracker. I got mine with the HR monitor chest strap, I think its pretty pointless without this. HR monitor works great, its comfortable, easy to use, syncs up with my fitness pal food tracker as well and is clear ,to see the face. I know some people don't like its size, but i like it, it looks nice on. I got white but you can get other colour straps from ebay quite cheap. Had it for about 2 months and no problems.

I am using HR tracker during training and gives good indication on HR
After some hassles managed to get synch with ps to get started (fixed compatibility and bug issue) . Now all in order but accuracy of activities record and calories is not so accurate/ sometime look unrealistic. I am using HR tracker during training and gives good indication on HR . As i asked for support directly from Polar, still Didn't received any response from them yet..and the app BEAT is not working as the polar have no GPS and distance is not displayed

Great Product - Fantastic for HIIT/Insanity & Crossfit Training
I train often, and favour HIIT/Insanity & Crossfit style training. I intitially set out looking for a standalone Heart Rate monitor to use during training and at no other time. I looked through different options for Heart Rate monitoring, including some more modern techniques such as taking an optical pulse reading from your wrist (EKG), but most product reviews implied that this method of Heart Rate monitoring was best for runners and cyclists, who exercise in repetetive motions (unlike my preffered training style). I decided that chest-strap monitoring would be the best option for me, as readings would not be affected by erratic hand/arm movements, and so after browsing the internet for a quite a while, reading through hundreds of product reviews and suggestions, I came across this activity tracker. It seemed perfect for me, and so I decided to purchase it, and have not regretted my decision. The tracker serves fantastically as a watch, and does not feel uncomfortable or clunky, even for someone like myself with small wrists. The device was simple to set up and synchronise with both my mobile phone and desktop. The battery-life is good, and I only have to charge it every 'fortnight', or so. The day-to-day activity tracking has now become fairly routine, and I enjoy the motivation to be more active. As for the training, I have had very few issues with the Heart Rate Monitoring. The chest strap has, on occasion, not picked up a reading, or taken an anomalous reading, despite contact between the skin and detection-pad; however, this has only been for a brief moment and the problem has quickly corrected itself. In conclusion, a fantastic activity tracker for anyone, whether you're fitness-enthusiast who wants to more accurately monitor your training (like myself), or someone who wants to be more active and lead a more healthy lifestyle, this is the device for you!

Starts out good
Both me and my mam have the same watch, batteries been replaced. Heart monitor pads have been washed and wet, bluetooth reset multiple times, yet, the watch fails to connect to the heart rate monitor. Watch is nice and when it was working in the first couple months it was great, however, since it no longer connects to the heart rate monitor the product is useless and I cannot return it.

good at first, but.......
when I first had this it was great. I had the app on my phone and all the info synced, I could read texts and it told me if I had emails, calls etc. However the app stopped working on my phone and it stopped notifying me of calls etc. Now the HR monitor doesn't sync to the watch all the time, sometimes i am in the middle of a High intensity class and the watch tells me my HR is 78 or some other random number ( or 0 which is even more worrying ;) ) It's a shame as I was very impressed to start. It is quite bulky to wear as an everyday watch, though it still seems ok as an activity tracker. I would maybe go for something a bit more stylish, less bulky in future.
