Intended use is to carry 5-6 clubs to the driving range. The shoulder strap can be removed but fixing points remain prominent. The bag is semi-rigid, with a hard plastic base. Along one side are two zip pockets (metallic grey) that will hold a few balls each (or whatever) and a tiny elasticated mesh pocket that would just about hold a glove, or a few tees. A D-ring to hang a towel/ident etc might have been nice. There's no stand, so has to be laid on the ground when not in hand. Shoulder strap is adjustable & well padded and the empty bag is not heavy. The divider in the opening of the bag is just a padded plastic rod. Materials and finish are what you'd expect at this price. Stitching isn't refined but looks robust. It does the job. PS - the removable rain cover is already discarded, as I expect many will be - shame for the manufacturer, coz now the bag is unbranded! I think there may be an option with a stand. **Q: So I just bought this. The hood is absolutely massive. Are people just using it without the hood?** A: I don't tend to use the hood.Just take 5 clubs and practise for a while on nice days.The hood seems a bit rigid **Q: Does this come with a strap...? The pictures suggest not....** A: It does come with a strap, nylon, about 1.5 inches width, and a not so padded shoulder pad. If you're not using more than 6 clubs, it's fine for the purpose IMO. **Q: how many clubs can it fit?** A: You can easily fit 2 x driver (driver & 3/5 wood) and 3-4 irons.I usually take 2 drivers and 4 irons to the range.I would probably advise you take the back with the kick stand.
