Original Wood Tops Mineral Oil will penetrate deep into the grain of the wood making it ideal for Chopping Boards, Butchers Blocks, Wooden Bowls and Wooden Utensils. Our Mineral Oil gives a natural finish which enhances the natural grain of the wood. Our mineral Oil is food safe, tasteless and odourless. This means it will not contaminate food and will not stain or smell. We recommend chopping boards are re-oiled once every three to four months which will keep your board in first class condition. If the wood appears dry and water is absorbed then a coat of oil is required.

Basically odourless which is great because no one likes smelly guitar hands. This can be used as a carrier oil, but I applied generously first then finished with a tiny amount of lemon oil. This bottle will last for ages as you only need a little at a time.

A: unfortunately I haven't but when I oil my chopping board it has food on it afterwards. you do have to wait 24hrs for the oil to sink in.

I haven't oiled my chopping board for years so I thought I'd give it a treat with this oil. I found it easy to apply, gave it four coats as it soaked in well. It really is easier to clean now, very happy.

The product itself is good, it’s just a standard mineral oil. As others have said a little really does go a long way so the bottle lasts a long time. However, this is more expensive to other shops. Ikea do a much cheaper version which is twice it’s size, so this is definitely the last time I’ll be buying this one.
