Everbuild External Frame Sealant – Interior And Exterior Use – Permanently Flexible – Mould-Resistant – Grey – 290ml

I purchased this Everbuild external frame sealant for use in an old stone barn with wooden window frames. The wooden frame had warped over the summer months and the autumn rain was making its way inside a gap and running down the inside of the building. Not good! But within a few minutes this sealant was applied and then, after curing (it was left completely dry for about 10 hours), the leak was fixed. The sealant was easy to apply using a little water and a steady finger, which achieved a nice finish. The grey colour is what I'd call a battleship grey. It looks nice and matches the stone wall of my outbuilding well. Like most things following the recent cost of living crisis the price was higher than expected, but it was fairly priced compared to high street stores near me and buying in multiples brought the price down a bit too.

Just right for what i wanted it for

Good sealant. It's easy to work with, comes out of a gun well. You can smooth the finish easily. It starts to soon quite quickly so you need to do small areas at a time. I got the grey to blend in with my shed. I have overpainted it with no issues. Good product.

Good enough silicone. Easy to use but much lighter than I anticipated

This is good to work with and definitely more forgiving than silicone. It does however gets noticeably lighter in colour when wet - so if you splash with water (or it gets rained on) you get this 2 tone effect. Once dry it goes back to its original colour. If that doesn't bother you then iI can say its smooth, dries in reasonable time and adheres quite well. A good purchase other than the colour change thing.
