400W UV black light bulb – E40 fitting

My bulb came quickly (although i was away when it was delivered). The packing was great, lots of padding so there was low change of damage to the bulb. Used a t-shirt on my hands to fit in the UV cannon / UV floodlight unit, as touching the blub with just fingers will cause it to malfunction. Very happy. Not sure why negative reviews.

I had one of these bulbs previously and all it required to work was a simple E40 fitting connected to the mains as it had an inbuilt ballast, furthermore it was the same price and still is, you can find it on many other proper UV light websites. Why this bulb does not have an inbuilt ballast like the others is beyond me. It costs around £50 for a ballast to power 400w, or! you could just buy the proper bulb with the inbuilt ballast at roughly the same price?So I bought one of these thinking it was the same, as it looks exactly identical! Also on the amazon portion of the description it said "POWER TYPE: Electricity: Male plug". Plugged it in, and pop! tripped my breaker and popped the bulb. I find this particularly irritating! Why add £50 to the cost to buy a ballast??? Is it a marketing scheme?? Who Knows? I'm going to try and get my money back, not very happy.

I ordered one of these for Halloween with an E40 lamp holder, I screwed it in and nothing happened, I also purchased a converter from E27 - E40 as I had a light with that fitting again nothing happened. Amazon sent out another one which I received today, it rattled out of the box and it didn't work either. given up, I contacted the light holder people and they explained it wasn't compatible. So not the bulb. Be warned you need the correct light unit to work with this. Changing my stars to 5

I can not reccomend this product or seller enough.i ordered very late in the evening after my old bulb stopped work before a big event, my uv canon was essential to the decor as well as the uv facepainter. This seller delivered, it fit perfect, it was well packaged, and fast and it GLOWED, my event looked epic. thank you for saving the night!

excellent as described

Do not buy this, I took mine to an electricity wholesalers and it blew all their circuits turning off their computers and tripping all the lights. I've had two different bulbs and both were faulty and very dangerous, don't buy it, it's a waste of time and money.

Consulte a un electricista me dijo que segun lo esrito en la bombilla iria a un portalamparas directo, revento.viene sin instrucciones que lo indiquen....lamentable. Y ojo que el casquillo tambien es mas grande.
