HOTO Cordless Rotary Tool Kit, 5-Speed for 3D Printer Sanding & DIY

What an awesome tool for the price. And also excellent packaging/storage in a zippered, custom fitted faux leather case. I wasn't expecting nearly this nice a unit for the price. The tool is very sleek looking. It runs smoothly and seems quite powerful with 5 discrete power (speed) settings. The included accessories are numerous, and each has its own divided section for storage. The charging cradle plugs in via USB-C (included) and the tool simply sits in the cradle for charging. There is an LED light lighting the work end of the tool as well. Very nice product!

It's impressive to have a great alternative to the Dremel brand, this moto tool is great, it comes with a bunch of accesories and the carrying case makes this tool a great purchase that you won't regret, it's very simple to use and the quality of operation is very smooth and stable, it worth every penny!

I bought this because I'd previously purchased some Hoto products - the SnapBloq precision hobby/toolkit, the electric screwdriver and basic toolset, and one of the cordless scrubbers. I admit, I've become a fan - the ergonomics and feel are top notch. The tool feels heavy in the hand, so it doesn't vibrate much and is easy to use lightly or with heavier pressure. It's coated with material that doesn't seem to get slippery from dust or moisture, and the controls are intuitive. The power button is on the rear end, which confused me at first, but when I thought about it, it makes sense - you won't accidentally turn it off when holding it. It's super easy to switch bits and it supports standard sized rotary tool bits, so your existing collection of drills, sanding drums, polishing heads, etc, will work perfectly with it. The speed is variable with a twist control on the base - the slow speed is very comfortable, and the high speed is perfectly adequate for almost any use. This can be used for detail work or rough sanding - with the supplied dust shield accessory to protect debris from flying at you. The accessory bag has limited storage room, but it does have handy compartments for various bits and a wrench for changing heads. The compartment piece is removable and can be hung from a peg on a workbench. A USB-C type charging stand is included - the device does not accept USB-C charging directly. Presumably this is to prevent use while connected, which is a good safety feature. It charged in a reasonable amount of time, and the charge lasted quite a while through moderate use right out of the box. It's not silent, but it's not super noisy either. On the low speed, you can have a conversation with your modeling partner or watch YouTube while sanding down 3D printed models. I am primarily using this for sanding and finishing 3D printed models, wood laser cut models, electronics, and around the house DIY tasks. I bought it on sale, but after using it for a few days, I'd happily pay full price for another. I know this is going to be one of my favorite tools for a long time.

I've been using my Dremel Micro for quite a while, and it’s been such a reliable tool that it’s finally time for a replacement. Unfortunately, Dremel no longer makes that model, which made finding a comparable alternative a bit tricky. After searching for options, I came across the HOTO tool, and it’s turned out to be a great choice. One of the main things I wanted in a new tool was that it had to be cordless, rechargeable, and have a light to help me see while filing my dog's nails. The HOTO tool checks all those boxes. It seems to have enough power for my needs, though so far I’ve only used it for filing my dog's nails (I have other rotary tools on hand if I need something with more oomph). The HOTO is lightweight, comfortable to hold, and the battery lasts much longer than I expected before needing a recharge. I also like the sleek design and the case it comes with. Included with the assortment of tools is a specific attachment with various sized holes for grinding pets' nails, though I prefer to leave it off, as I'm used to doing it without one. In some ways, the HOTO is even better than my Dremel Micro. Unlike the Dremel, it doesn’t have the knurled collet that could sometimes catch on my pup if I wasn’t careful. One downside is that the exhaust vent is placed where I hold the tool, which can make it get hot after a while. I do like the speed dial placement on the bottom and the separate on/off switch, which lets me start and stop at the same setting. Overall, the HOTO is a well-built, reliable replacement for my old Dremel.

This thing blew me away. It has tremendous torque. I tried other similar devices and all of them bogged down easily from moderate use. I have a top of the line $200 Dremel and I hardly ever use it as this works fine for most things. The build quality is excellent and it even came with accessories and a case. This thing is shockingly good for the price. I have since bought other Hoto products as they are made so well.

I just love this item. Nice to have the light on the end. I bought this to file my German Shepherds nails and it’s great. Very quiet compared to Dremel which. Is great for my dog . Also great for callouses on my feet (lol) Highly recommend

I have a full sized Dremel that I have had for a very long time. It works great but it quite bulky for smaller jobs - which are my most frequent use. This little rechargeable one fits great for most of those small jobs that pop up all the tmie and because it is cordless it is much more versatile and easier to maneuver than the full sized unit. It fits all the same bits so I can continue to use the collection of ones I have built up over the years. I got it on sale so it's a great vale for me. Can't speak yet of durability but it does not feel cheap. Seems fast enough for small jobs but it does not match the full sized plug in tool, which I don't expect it to. Oh and I really like the case.

It's ok. Packaging is excellent. Tool leaves some things to be desired. First, get rid of the proprietary charging mechanism masquerading as a useful stand. Just one more thing to lose. Just let it be usb-c chargeable without the worthless base. Second, it isn't as comfortable to hold as I thought it would be. The gray protrusion in the middle of the device needs to be removed. I also thought it would be smaller. This is a hefty device. It does feel solid, but I've used rotary tools that are way lighter and smaller, and just as powerful. I got it on sale and it was quite inexpensive. I wouldn't even recommend it at the price I paid. Way better options out there.

Unfortunately did not come with pet grooming, and bought this product only for this. Open full box so can’t return. Waste of money if it happens to you.

I found it really useful. Its reliable performance helps me complete complex jobs with ease, and the cordless design is incredibly portable.
