After getting a little frustrated with a poaching pan which was fiddly to use and time consuming to wash-up, I was looking for a quick alternative to cooking my poached eggs. I gave these a try and have been convinced ever since! Once you get the hang of using them, they do they job nicely. Firstly, when cracking the eggs - make sure you have the 'bag' over a small cup and then transfer over to the pan. I usually like the yolk a bit runny so would recommend cooking for 4 mins of a medium to high heat with a quick stir mid way. Transferring eggs onto a plate look some getting used to, as water can collect in bags too - so my solution is to place them onto some kitchen towel and then remove from bag before placing on plate. Really like these and now i have my routine will stick with them.

At last, the perfect way to poach eggs!I adore poached eggs but have never succeeded very well doing them the classic 'floppy' way. Apart from the fact that the eggs have to be super fresh to stick together, it is all to easy to add too much vinegar (uck!), and all that fiddling with kitchen paper to dry them - then they stick and split!! As for all those egg poaching pans out there ........ oh they are such brutes to clean - hate them. The result being I rarely did poached eggs. ........ Until.... I went to The Good Food Show where I discovered Poaches! A revelation, wonderful. A little paper bag that delivers what it says on the packet!One little tip that I have developed is that after lifting the filled Poachie out of the glass I fold over the top and, using a plastic freezer clip, I clip it to the edge of the pan thus preventing the Poachie from turning turtle and the egg leaking out before it is set!Go on, try them. They are fab. In fact, I think I will have poached eggs for my supper. Enjoy!

We like poached eggs and these paper baggies are perfect. Quite easy to use. When they are cooked and before you open the paper sack, it’s best to drain them in a sieve for a minute or so.

Easy to use. Easy to follow instructions. Poached egg perfectly. Naughty but I managed to use same pouch twice (rinsed, dried and used again). Good value, by buying two packs. Cheaper to buy thru Amazon than eg Lakelands.

My culinary skills, to give you some context, are pretty much limited to just about being able to buy eggs properly. Cooking them, or frying or boiling or what have you, is a skill that has somewhat eluded me.I, at the threshold of a mid-life crisis, decided to get these and try them out with my very nearly 87 year old Gran. Our fortunes were mixed - two came out perfect, two so-so, two probably best left not discussed. I would be prepared to say that we, rather than I, were at fault rather than the product, and far be it from me to suggest I somehow bought inferior eggs.If you are enthusiastic about poached eggs - and who is not - then at the price these are well worth a go, or a "crack" if you want some sort of play on words. When these things work - or when I used them properly, whichever you prefer - it delivered easily one of the top ten poached eggs that I have ever experienced.

I had been looking in local cookery shops for Poachies for some time without success. This double pack of 40 bags was just what I wanted. I find using poachies is a brilliant way of poaching eggs - they come out perfect, in a nice oval shape every time. Absolutely no hassle, just boil the water, reduce to a fast simmer, break egg into the bag and add to the edge of the saucepan. If doing more than one egg at a time, I fasten to the edge of the saucepan with a wooden clothes peg! Added to the above, they were such good value.

Tried these as I like poached eggs (when I am at a hotel, B&B etc.) but can never make them myself. Open the egg shaped pouch from the non-pointy end; don't do what I did and ripped the first pouch! Little practice and their great. I can now enjoy poached eggs anytime! Tip - as someone else said: use a sandwich bag clip to keep the pouch upright in the boiling water (or you will lose most the egg in the water). Fair enough. Ensure your clip is not plastic or, like mine, it will melt!

Anfangs war ich sehr skeptisch was diese Beutel betraf.Ich konnte mir nicht vorstellen, dass es funktioniert. Nach jahrelanger Suche nach einem geeigneten Hack für pochierte Eier ist dies das Beste was mir bis dato in die Finger kam.Die Eier werden in den Beutel gegeben und dann schnell in das köchelnde Wasser eingelegt.Kein blöder Essig-Geschmack - keine komischen Plastik-Beutel aus Frischhaltefolie - zwar entflieht ein wenig Eiweiß - jedoch das Ei selbst bleibt fast vollkommen in dem Beutel und ist auch leicht herauszufieseln.Das Ergebnis ist einfach fantastisch und man kann gleich für mehrere Personen (bei mir max. 6 auf einmal) die Eier machen.Für mich eine absolute Kaufempfehlung - auch wenn etwas teuer.UND: NEIN weder Teebeutel noch Kaffee-Filter haben solch ein Ergebnis gebracht. Alles versucht - Poachies sind derzeit das beste Produkt zum Eier pochieren.

Sono molto soddisfatta del prodotto. Le uova in camicia sono perfette. Ho provato con successo a utilizzare lo stesso sacchetto per tre volte di seguito. Come indicato nelle istruzioni, esce un po' di schiuma, ma molto poca. Ho usato un pentolino stretto, alto e antiaderente. Questo però è irrilevante perché comunque le uova rimangono all'interno e non si attaccano al pentolino. Peccato però che le istruzioni siano in francese e inglese.

No sirven par nada !!!! Al poner el huevo inmediatamente sale por debajo. No se pueden cerrar !!, tienes que estar con una pinza cogiendo la bolsa para no quemarte. Mientras hierve va saliendo el huevo por fuera !!! Son un desastre !!!.
