London Stay Matte Foundation, 200 Soft Beige, 30ml

Let me start by saying I am a total beauty product junkie. When it comes to foundation I've tried A LOT of expensive brands... Dior, Lancome, Chanel, Givenchy etc. etc. Last year I decided to try a cheaper one for Glastonbury, in case it got lost in a field / down a long drop like so many of my possessions previously. After much deliberation I chose Rimmel's Wake Me Up foundation, which I fell in love with and have been using until now. The only slight issue I've had is a shiny t zone later in the day, which led me to this, Rimmel's Stay Matte foundation.Firstly, I like the fact it comes in a squeezy tube. Yes, of course it doesn't look as nice as some of the fancy glass bottles, but it is so much easier to get the last out when there's not much left. When it comes to the foundation itself, on first glance I wasn't quite sure what to make of the consistency and appearance. As other reviewers have said, it's like a paste, which doesn't sound that appealing, but honestly it's great!I use a foundation brush and it goes on like silk with a lovely velvety finish. It feels light on the skin, it's easy to blend and it gives really REALLY good coverage without looking like you're The Mask. It maintains a matte appearance throughout the day and I can't emphasis enough what a smooth finish it gives, it glides over enlarged pores and covers any little imperfections.I liken it to wall filler, which smooths over cracks and wear and tear, but I'm not sure I'm doing myself or the foundation any favours with that analogy. Basically it's a great product, superb value at around 6 quid and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

I ordered this late Thursday night and it arrived on Saturday morning with the free standard delivery. I couldn't wait to try it out and it was a fantastic product.The foundation is really thick and creamy in texture and I applied with my beauty blender. I quickly realized that it goes on much more flawlessly if you pat it on rather than rub it in.It gave excellent coverage, covering the slight scarring on my cheek and the small spots I have. It even covered the dark circles under my eyes and I didn't need to use concealer which is a first.When I first applied it it felt heavy and sticky but dried in to a fine powdery finish very quickly and I could barely feel it on my skin, even better it didn't rub of during the day and it stayed for ten hours without reapplication.The matte effect is quite gorgeous and doesn't look like heavy make-up.I used the light porcelain as I'm very pale and it matched my skin tone wonderfully, managing to blend with my colouring and give me a slightly healthier glow at the same time.Astounding by this product and I will be buying this foundation religiously from now on.

I've got oily skin with blemishes and some pigmentation spots around the eyes and cheeks. This means I have struggled to find something concealing enough to cover problem areas but light enough to not go pasty and start looking patchy as the day draws to an end. I have tried many products, expensive and cheap and I have to say this product ticks all the boxes for me. It's goes on easy and is easy to blend in. It makes my skin look porcelain smooth and matte and covers the imperfections well, even dark circles are covered well - no concealer needed. As the day goes on, I have noticed that my skin seems to stay fresh-looking without looking caked in make-up. I'm a big fan of natural looking make-up, so this is a clear winner. I only rated this 4 stars as I'm curious to see if it causes breakouts, but so far (after 3 days), it hasn't caused any spots :) I'm 25 by the way, if that's relevant.

Good coverage and not greasy

I have naturally oily and porous skin, in my teens i suffered a lot with Acne, although this tube has changed in appearance i do remember Rimmel stay matte being my go to, budget friendly foundation and it is good at covering acne and can also be layered up. I have included a photo, bare skin before and just this foundation in Ivory after.I like to wear face powder on top of this foundation too, i feel it goes well with this foundation and provides even more coverage and a better, long lasting matte effect.I often choose this foundation in favor of more expensive foundations since a more expensive price doesn't always mean better quality, at least not in my case.This is my all time favourite foundation and the Ivory colour matches perfectly to my skin tone, neither too pale nor too dark. I think a good tip i've learnt is when applying to smudge it down into the neck area too, this prevents any obvious foundation lines.From being a spotty teenager to now, in my early 30s this has always been my go to foundation, i've tried others, they've been a little hit and miss for me, but this one has never let me down, budget friendly, great coverage and feels lovely on my skin. I love Rimmel Stay Matte.

I was looking for a new everyday foundation so I thought I'd try this as I've used rimmel products before.The texture of this is quite thick and it doesn't spread as well as foundations I've used before - I had to use more to get even a light coverage.As a base it was okay but on its own I found it looked a bit cakey. I did find it started to become quite dry after a few hours of wear, although it did look better in daylight than I initially thought it would.I probably wouldn't get this again as I'm finding it to be a bit dry and not longlasting enough but used in the right way, its still okay for day wear.

I have oily combination skin and been struggling to find a foundation that doesn't slide of my face or go patchy in the middle of the day...i was apprehensive at first as it looked a very small tube for £6, but I persevered and bought it anyway. When it came it wasn't actually as small as I thought, its very thick so you only need a very very small bit. I use a damp beauty blender to apply and it goes on flawlessly and covers all acne, redness and marks on the skin, you do have to blend a lot because its very thick. I'm incredibly pale and the colour was perfect for me. I've used this for several months now and only on my second tube and I wear it daily. Its so good not one bit of caking or melting of the face what so ever. After running after a hyper two year old all day it doesn't budge or show oil at all. It is very matte so if you don't like that look I wouldn't recommend it. My new go to foundation, love love love it!

Really impressed with this foundation. I have been looking for a good coverage one for a while, tried so many makes (including more expensive ones, such as MAC) and they've done an okay job but not quite to my satisfaction. I found myself having to use quite a lot to get decent coverage on some days. I've also found some to be oily and not staying on the skin well. So it hight I'd give this a try as it seemed to have good reviews and I can honestly say its the best foundation I've used in I don't know how many years! I buy two shades I every foundation I buy as I like to tan myself but I'm naturally pale - that way I can go from pale to tanned and anywhere in between on whatever day I am in my tanning cycle haha. Sometimes the colours don't completely match my tone. Again, this foundation does that perfectly. I bought ivory and beige and mixed them up as I'm a light tan at the moment, and it looks lovely and my skin looks flawless, despite having a few spots! I will definitely be using this product as long as it is out!

Alta cobertura y un resultado muy bueno. Si tienes la piel seca se marcan algunas pieles muertas pero para pieles grasas 10 de 10. Durabilidad muy buena y buenísima cobertura sin resultar pesada.
