First, be aware that it arrives COVERED in dirty oil - every surface, every thread! (see the covered kitchen cloth I used to clean it). It takes a while to get it all off so both you and your workpiece doesn't get stained. The displayed handle rod is smooth with a substantial moulded grip; the actual handle is just a threaded rod with a thinnish dip-coated PVC sleeve. It is difficult to remove all the story oil coating from the threaded bar, so it does not feel nice to hold or touch the handle anywhere other than the red coating. I will probably wrap the threaded bar with bicycle handlebar tape as it's just not nice to use as it is. The pictures show what appear to be bronze bearing sleeves, but these are not on the supplied press (they weren't described in the text, but the fact they were in the photos swayed me to buy this particular press). The pictures also show a nice, forged spanner for adjusting the press, but only a cheap, nasty pressed sheet metal spanner is supplied. On the plus side, it functions well (I was able to stamp 2mm card) and it was delivered much more quickly than the estimated date. It is substantial, weighing over 22kg.
