Technically speaking, the amount of pumping will depend on the volume of liquid. Lots of liquid, leaves a small volume of air, which can be compressed with fewer pumps, but the pressure will reduce quickly during use. For one litre of liquid you could probably manage with one pressurisation, but that itself would take more pumps. Either, way it is well made, with an efficient pumping mechanism and pressurises easily and with fewer pumps and maintains the pressure better than any other sprayer I have had.

Looking to use for killing moss on my roof. How far does it spray?

Hi, you would still need to use a step ladder, the extension just gives you extra reach and the nozzle would need to be within approx 50 cm distance from the roof to spray the area properly.
