I gave it as a gift. I would say the height (or length) of the rattle is about 4 1/2 to 5 inches. I am guessing that is what you want to know. It is a lovely little rattle. My niece and nephew loved it.

Yes it can be engraved. Around a buck a letter, I believe. What I am talking about here is taking it to the Mall and having some place like Precious memories type store and having them do it. This place may do it But I would call first. Mine looked great.

Rattle is high quality

The box/packaging is a little cheap. The rattle sits in a preformed (like styrofoam) bedding covered with a taped piece of fabric. Overall for the price it is a great buy, and I would buy it again, but would repackage in something else.

a beautiful keepsake at a great price

I got this rattle for our son for Christmas and it's simply beautiful. The rattle has a pleasant ring to it and the shape is pretty and small enough for a newborn's hand. The rosewood box is pretty too and of really nice quality. Bottom line: a beautiful keepsake at a great price!

Too cute!

I bought this for my daughter as a keepsake and we love it, when she was younger I was scared about how heavy it was. (Really heavy for a newborn) she is two and a half still grabs it and plays with it seldomly. It's a great toy!
