The lock itself is sturdy and I trust it to deter thieves. Unfortunately mine seized up after 6 months of use, I had to leave it behind at a client's home's front railings and come back with WD40, which eventually worked.Now it's been over a year since purchasing it, and it has began to completely fall apart. The plastic is pealing away, though it still locks relatively fine (requires much more careful placement between the two pieces though).I can't recommend this product based on my experiences with it.

its a very fair priced d-lock. the fittings will not affix it to my bicycle which has large diameter aluminium tubes making up the frame. the frame of my bicycle hasn't enough room to accommodate the size of the lock, so it'll be put intoa backpack or similar. one key has an l.e.d. light for finding the small key hole at the bottom of the lock, generally difficult to find at night with its small access hole is made a lot easier. there is a short-ish cable to affix the front wheel onto the d-lock. just make sure you dont use the d-lock to lock the bike to something with the cable as cables are easier to cut than a d-lock which should be used to affix the frame of the bike to an immovable object making it harder for the theives to get the bike ! i paid 70 for my 2nd hand bike so think this level of security is a good balance (price wise and security wise) but i'd go for a very much more secure lock, gold rated if your bike costs a lot more as some can!comes with a number of spare keys that can be kept at work? gym? relative? friend? in case you lose yours. good value and recommended

As a lock it was tough and strong, but (like so many others here) the lock has just stopped working. No amount of trying, or wd-40, will get the lock to open, so it is effectively a lump of metal. You should be able to expect it to last years. Luckily it wasn't on the bike at the time, but they really should fix this issue as it's been a known problem for so long. I've bought another brand instead.

The lock itself is fantastic. I've had it for three months now and it has been quite reliable. The internal dimensions allow enough space to lock the rear of the frame to a standard bike rack and still have room for a detached front wheel if you should choose to lock is this fashion. Non- oversized street poles will also fit this lock's dimensions.The supplied cable is useful for locking the front wheel, though it's quite cumbersome to carry unless you have a bag you'd like to cram it into. A better, more secure option is to use this lock to secure the frame and one wheel, and a secondary lock for the second wheel (and possibly the frame again).The only thing that's not well designed is the mount used to secure the lock while riding. It's not very durable, and breaks easily.

The product is faulty as someone cut mine. I contacted the company to advise them and they advised this wouldn’t happen and I would need to send them the cut lock. I didn’t keep the item as I had no use to carry a heavy lock home that was obviously of no further use! The customer service team would not believe this. If you buy the lock be prepared that it isn’t as tough as they advise and that you will need to provide proof if you have the same unfortunate circumstances. I’m out of pocket for the lock and the item that was locked up.

It is a good lock to use if you cycle to the same place each day but I tend to prefer something a bit lighter if I need to travel anywhere else.I had difficulty using the mounting system to attach the lock to the bike. It would have meant removing one of my bottle cages which was something I did not want to do, so in the end I just decided to carry it in my bag if I ever need to cycle with it.--- Security ---My bike hasn't been stolen yet so serves its purpose well!The sturdy construction makes it very feel very secure. The long cable which comes with the lock is great for securing the bike and wheels from theft.--- Should you Buy this? ---Overall I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a secure lock which needs to remain in the same place. However if you often move your lock around, I would probably look for a lighter weight alternative, as the size of this can easily weigh you down.

This is a sturdy lock but very heavy and the cable is not long enough - I can only manage to loop it round the frame and one wheel. It is quite fiddly to lock everything together - the shackle only clicks into place when you turn the key so you have to manage to hold the shackle, lock-head, and each end of the cable with one hand, while using the other hand to turn the key - which inevitably results in a few re-runs. I even missed a train trying to do this. It really took some time getting used to and I probably wouldn't have bought it had I tried it out first in a shop, rather than bought online.So far seems secure though. I haven't yet sorted out fixing the clip to my bike frame but will need to soon as it's too heavy to carry in a bag as well as laptop and other personal items.

Really amaze by this product.Pros.1. BUILD QUALITY - Amazing! It's sturdy, strong and can take a lot of bitting. It's also quite heavy not sure if that's good for you.2. Set of keys are also good and their are lots of them. So you can probably loose 2 keys and still have extras to use.Cons.1. The cable lock is a little bit short. So if you are planning to wrap it around your bike that wouldn't be possible.Overall, It's sturdy and strong. It gives you a peace of mind leaving your bike outside.
