Prof Lesley Regan writes with the clarity earned from years of scientifically studying miscarriage—no fluff, just clear and compassionate information. I could not recommend it more. Quite literally, i recommend it to ANY friend/acquaintance dealing w miscarriage—I literally send a copy to friends navigating the bewilderment and bereavement of it all. I even mention it to pregnant friends, as I wish I’d read this BEFORE my first miscarriage! Truly, i find Prof Reagan’s writing on the caution re:all manner of unverified/unhelpful tests and the body’s worrisome signs that can put a woman’s mind into a dizzying spiral, but may in fact be part of a healthy pregnancy, very reassuring as someone looking ahead to the future path of pregnancy.As a quarter of all women who become pregnant will experience miscarriage at some point... i think this book should be recommended reading for all—men and women alike. There’s too much quiet and misconception-spreading that happens in the place of true, scientific knowledge exchange and the compassion that accompanies it.
