Bought December 2022 now October 2023. Here's my review
I got this back in December of 2022, so I've almost had it for a year now. I'm really happy with it. Ok, it can only clean where it can reach. I do have some places I have to clean myself (if I want to) because I don't have enough space between the wall and it for the vacuum to go in, but that's my fault for placing things in the way. As for the places it can reach, it's amazing! My floors are always clean and I'm not stressing about people eating away from the table and about bugs because of others being messy. I have mostly wood floors with an area rug and a few rugs in a bathroom and in my room. For the area rug in the living room, that's a real rug, so it has no issues going over it and vacuums just fine. It switches to vacuum only mode and doesn't wet my carpet. I do have to empty the dust bin once in a while (whenever I remember...) but that's OK. My bathroom rugs are a different story. They're light and they bunch up when the bathroom door opens, and sometimes the vacuum can go over them no issues and sometimes it gets stuck. That's the rug issue mainly, so I just move the rug out of the way now. My nephews are AWFUL about cables and keep leaving their headphone cables on the floor. I come back to find the vacuum stopped because it got tangled up in those. It can avoid some things, but not always cables, so I've gotten in the habit of blocking the path to the area where they always have cables lying around and haven't had those issues. I have replaced the mopping pads once since they started to get shredded. With my use case, I think I can last 6ish months on the pads, but I was mopping daily. Now I've cut back to like twice a week for mopping, so I'll have to see how long the pads last with that. Twice a week may be overkill, especially since I'm vacuuming when I'm not vacuuming and mopping but I like walking bare foot and I hate stepping on things, so that's how often I make it clean. I'm not doing it myself, so why not? I do have to remember to open my room door when I hear it coming by or it'll skip me, but I'm ok with a few skips since I'm not making messes like the family members, plus since it mapped my home and I told it what each room is, I can just send it to mop or vacuum or do both in my room or the kitchen or whatever whenever I want to...and I do! Setting this up was so easy. I put the pieces together and it went around scanning my house. It didn't go around each corner, it just went in the rooms and scanned. I was amazed at how fast the whole house was mapped. Coming from the Roomba i3, this was amazing. Things I wish it had are the self emptying of the vacuum. I could have gotten another robot vacuum (DreameBot L10S Ultra) that had the same oscillating mop pads but also had the dust bin self emptying feature, but I saw the places it could have issues and decided against it. The dreamebot fills up a reservoir in the actual robot with water that wets the mop pads and people were talking about having to use a straw to suck out a clog to get it working??? I kept up with their progress and some had issues later down the line, some not. I decided not to take that risk just to have an auto empty bin,, especially since I dont have pets. The Narwal Freo on the other hand has the water go down into the base, the robot cleans the mopping pads and uses the wet mop pads to clean the floor. It comes back when the pads need more water (I can do by room or by a certain square footage) As I have wood floors, i don't want the floors sopping wet. I've walked behind the vacuum and it didn't leave it too wet for my wood floors. I like that I can tell it which room to do in what order and it does it exactly as I say. The app tells me where the robot is IN REAL TIME so if I need to know where it is, I just look at the map and I can find it. They finally have the Automatic Drainage System. I did want to get it on amazon, but they don't have it, so I just ordered it from their website as it's on sale. As it is right now, I only have to empty the dirty water and fill up the clean water once a week. The dirty water tank gets smelly if I leave it too long, so I do clean it out as well. You can't smell it until you're emptying the tanks. With the emptying system, I'm not going to have to deal with that any more. Man I'm looking lazy right now... I'm not, I swear... haha The robot is going strong and working for me. I make adjustments to not leave cables on the floor and to pick up small toys so they don't get caught in the vacuum. My Coredy is making weird noises in the bristle spinning area and I've used the Narwal much longer without that issue. My Roomb i3 has the self emptying bin, but I can't say how many times it hasn't been able to finish a job because of some random error and not having anything stuck in it or having dirty sensors. Now, don't get me wrong, it works still, but I've put it to clean my basement now since I got tired of seeing it and hearing it go over the vents so loudly. My Narwal freo is so quiet that I usually don't know it's running. My sister was here one night and she almost jumped out of her skin because it snuck up on her. It's not silent, but it's quiet. It moves and makes some noise, but it's quiet. Makes the least amount of noise of all my vacuums. I turned off the stair sensor in settings so it can climb over carpets. The wheels raise up and it just goes, haha. I just make sure not to leave my outside and garage doors open when it's running. Those are only open when we have parties anyway. I am glad I took the big leap of faith and got this. Now it's on sale for less than I got it on Black Friday last year, but the headaches avoided by having it earlier more than make up for me missing out on saving. I would have blown a fuse with the mess my family makes and didn't clean up without this thing. The cleaning solution is a bit on the pricy side, but my floors are clean. Overall, I'm really really happy with this even nearly a year later. I'm glad I didn't get the DreameBot L10S Ultra, especially now that I'm not going to have to change any water. Update: 11/21/2024 I've had the water exchange system for a while now, and it's so great not having to change the water out! I tapped into the drain pipe in my laundry room sink. It gives a max height the drain can be, and I decided to just go with that. Got some epoxy and drilled a hole, stuck the tube in and sealed it up. So far, I haven't had issues. The clean water...I had to go to home depot for an adapter as my pipes used smaller connectors. I found one and it worked out for me. I can hear whenever it's getting clean water and draining the dirty water when it washes the mops. It's not super loud, but it's audible. Now I only have to clean the mop cleaning agitation tray once in a while and dump out the dirt from the vacuum bin. Do make sure to clean that as it can and will get clogged and start to leak. I found that out after not cleaning it for over a year...yuck. But now I'm better at checking it and cleaning it. It's easy anyway, just take it out and give it a clean then put it back together and back in. The dirt in there can be whatever the mop comes across that's too big to suck up I'm assuming. It takes a while to get dirty, but it does. I'm still not great about checking it regularly, but if you see water on the floor, you have a clog in the tray and it needs a clean. I haven't had the tube get clogged yet. It has a filter and a lot of stops before any particles get dragged up into the tube. It has been a set it and forget it type of robot that I sometimes forget to empty the bin or clean the tray. I am still in love with it.

Would avoid this device at all cost
I have owned this device for almost 1.5 years and would rate it with negative stars. I spent a huge amount of $ hoping to save time and energy while this device will cost you more time and energy and worst of all, is so annoying that creates more stress. 1. When it functions normally, it does not recognize my pets, even though the initial setting asks if I own pets at home; 2. it recognizes carpet area however won't get around the carpet area under mopping task, which does not make any sense also it does not change cleaning pattern around long hair carpet area therefore messed up and damaged the edge of my carpet, 3. the life of the main rolling brush is only a few months till it goes crazy and voicing "entangled rolling brush" every 10 seconds. Even after I spent hours cleaning up the brush, the error message continued. Manufacture replaced my first rolling brush since the purchase was only a few months, the replacement worked for only a few months and the device went crazy again; 4. almost every single morning, the first thing is to deal with the device error: it trapped itself in a corner, it does not recognize location, brush tangled, etc. it's emotionally painful to own such a trouble; 5 it does not sense people walking around and would just hit you; 6. I am literally mad at a cleaning robot which is insane but that's how annoying it is. The list goes on......... I lost my money and got a trouble at home which continues causing me more stress, time, effort and peace of mind.

If you have OCD about clean hardwood/tile/laminate floors, THIS IS YOUR ROBOT!
I have really bad OCD about my floors being clean. I used to spend an hour every day cleaning just 400 sqr ft of laminate and tile floor by hand (cleaning multiple times a day). Now, I just let this guy clean 1 or 2 times a day and that's it. It really is that good! I can't image any other robot being able to clean as well as this does. We get a lot of oil strains from food, oil stains from my gf's 18,000 lotions and creams, you name it, and I was really skeptical this would actual clean them given it does not dry the floors after. But it really works well. By default, it will go back and clean it's pads after every 108 sqr ft, but you can set it lower or higher, or after every room. I had surgery and was unable to clean the floors for a week. After the first pass in the kitchen, it had the typical smeared greasy water look on the floor, it went back, cleaned it's pads, and after the second pass, the floor was as almost as clean as I could get it by hand, after a full week of grease stains. The only things it did not get were caked on stains, which is to be expected, it doesn't have a scraper function (yet). After using it for a few days now, the floors ARE as clean as if I cleaned it by hand. If you have OCD about your floors being clean, this robot is for you. Don't waste your time or money on robots that can't clean their own pads. They will cross contamination once they get dirty and they you have to clean the pads yourself and dry them. When this robot is done, it will go back to the base station, wash it's pads, and then dry them, and it really does dry them. It does take a few hours to dry, but it's pretty quiet. The entire robot is very quiet. I could be on a zoom meeting with it running and it would be fine. The cons I will mention are as follows: - The suction power leaves room to be desired. They claim 3000pa is only 2% worse than 4000pa, I disagree. My Mova Robot Vacuum with 4000pa leaves noticeable lines in the fully carpeted areas of our apartment showing it's clean. This does not, and leaves stuff behind on our low pile rug in our dining room which is on the laminate floors. It works great on hard surfaces though. - Can not clean fully carpeted areas without dragging it's mops all over, then going back to clean the mops that it didn't even using on the carpet before doing maybe 1/5 of the room, will waste tons of cleaning solution for nothing. - Does not empty the trash automatically - Runs through the water very fast. For about 400 sqr ft, it uses more than half a tank. So I need to refill it after every use. One youtube review said you can empty and refill it once a month, I don't know what he was smoking, because it is an after every use thing. If you have a really big floor, this could be a problem. - The cleaning solution is proprietary, and not cheap. It is a decent sized bottle, we'll see how long it lasts. That's about it. I thought this would replace my Mova, but it is not quiet there yet. Maybe the next version they release will really be an all in one. The vacuum is great for hard surfaced floors, it just doesn't clean carpet that well. I will be keeping my MOVA for the fully carpeted area because it does an excellent job. If your like me, and have OCD about your hard surface floors being clean, this is the robot for you. It really does replace a human, assuming you don't splash food everywhere and leave it for days to cake onto the floors. Update: It's been around 2 years now, and it's still running great with no issues. If you notice the mops not cleaning well, you either need to clean the tray out that the mops wash on, (the holes get plugged with lint so it can't clean the mops well) or replace the cleaning solution. I just replaced the mops for the first time after 1 years and 8 months because it finally started coming apart. For me, running it twice a day, the cleaning solution lasts about 6 months, but I have to replace it with one third of the bottle still left because it seems like it's not enough weight to force the correct amount of cleaning solution out and instead of consistent wet floor, I end up with a lot of beads of water (as it's grease trying to bond to water molecules, which from science class, we all know they can't). The cleaning solution is a big part in why this works so well (it creates the chemical bond to the grease to lift and stick it to the pads). The replacement parts and solution kit feels like a gouge at $200. But it is one to one and a half years worth of supplies, and for the time it saves me, or money I would spend hiring a house cleaner, I think it's really quite cheap. It just annoys me when companies charge a 2000 percent markup over cost, just because they can.

Great robot mop
I just purchased my second Narwal Freo for the upstairs because I love the mop feature so much. The mop works great and is easy to maintain, which I love. The robot itself maps out your house, and you can remap as much as you want, then it goes to work. I love that this mop takes itself back to its base station to clean itself several times during the mopping process. I researched other brands that did not have this feature and essentially end up using dirty mops to clean. It does get the occasional error like any robot will, but I like how it has WiFi so you can see what's wrong from your phone. You can also start and stop the robot from your phone if needed. The only reason I docked a star is because the vacuum feature is mediocre. It works fine, but will not pick up as much as my other robot vacuum. I bought it knowing this, however, because I really wanted it for the mop feature and the vacuum is just a bonus. I always run the vacuum and mop feature even if l've just vacuumed. I highly recommend this product and hope to buy a third for our basement.

Where have you been all my life?
I had always thought that robotic vacuums were silly and couldn’t work very well. I had never considered them more than a silly gadget. I happened to read a home product article that made me aware of combo vacuum and mopping robots. The Narwal Freo was recommended as a top model. I really researched this and looked at many different models with accompanying reviews. The Narwal seemed to lead the pack in customer service which was a recurring problem for many of the top models. When you’re going to drop major amounts of money on a piece of technology you want that security of knowing you can contact the company easily for assistance. I have a 1200 square foot single story home with all laminate flooring and one large area rug. I didn’t want/need a model that had a disposable bag built into the home base unit. The dust bin in the Narwal Freo is plenty big for my needs and easy to empty. I don’t have pets or kids so my home does not get overly dirty. The aesthetics of the Narwal are also much more attractive than any of the other models I considered. There’s a little bit of a learning curve in figuring out how to program for various rooms and floor types. Using the app is definitely the way to go and you just need to spend some time playing with it. Mopping the floors in my whole house took over 2 hours the first time. The mop heads are washed at least twice while mopping each room. I thought my floors were reasonably clean and I have a house cleaner monthly who mops my floors too. The mop heads spin and do quite a good job of cleaning the dirt off of my older laminate floors. The container with the dirty water after mopping is both disgusting and satisfying at the same time. You don’t realize how dirty your flooring is until you see it! I’m hoping over time the water will not be as dark. It already was better on the second mopping. I definitely had to adjust the mop to leave the floor “slightly dry” as laminate floor shouldn’t get overly wet. I was able to purchase this unit on a Black Friday sale along with the replacement accessory package at a discount as well. I absolutely HATE mopping floors! I feel like using a swiffer-like product just moves the dirt around rather than really picking it up. My floors have never been this clean. This Narwal Freo is the best home cleaning gadget ever! I’m considering getting rid of my cleaning lady as this item will really do most of the hard home cleaning for me. I hope this product continues to work well and hope for good reliability as well. I’m a single 71 yo female who was able to get the unit up and running in 20 minutes. One tip I learned is that when registering your Narwal (one of the first things that come up on the app) you enter your email on the registration page (hit send in the box below the email box) they will send you an email with the number you need to enter on that registration page. It’s only good for one minute so check your email quickly! It is NOT the number that your Narwal screen shows! You will enter that later. That was the only initial confusing part in the set up.

MULTIPLE SYSTEM FAILURES with extra cost expended.
Ok when I first got it...WOW. I also ordered the automatic water exchanger, so everything was good. Then the water exchanger started a giving me a error message is couldn't drain? What Why? Contacted the company, SORRY YOU ARE OUT OF WARRANTY and you are on your own. (DIdn't want to get rid of the $1200 vac mop that worked so well before, and paid the extra $$$ for the Auto refill?) So I spent more money on another NEW water exchanger, put it in and it worked fine, like new for 6 days, then problem rose again. I unplugged the unit and let it sit for 2 weeks, HARD RESET, plugged in and I get random problem with the drainage system again, it does not flood the floor? Just says it is not working. Then the Thing went into DRYING the Mop mode and just stays on drying mode ALL THE TIME CONSTANT RUNNING. Yes there are setting on the drying system and how you want it work, fast long, super...what ever, so yes the drying the mops can take time....... but NOPE this thing just ran and ran until I unplug it. Now the Robot goes right in front of the Base, AND STOPS, right directly in front of the Base.... and comes up with error message ?cant find the base" that is 3 inches in front of it. THIS THING HAS SOFTWARE PROBLEMS, Mechanical problems, and no customer help once warranty is up. No repairs allowed, just replace....and HOPE IT WORKS BETTER. So AUTO WATER EXCHANGE is still a 50/50 on if it will work without an error message/ (AND YES THE SYSTEM is not blocked, clogged, or dirty) the Vac cant find the base when it is parked 3 inches from it, and drying system likes to run 24/7. So I plug it in ONLY when I use it, so it isn't running the Pad dryer 24/7, I have to physically nudge it back into the base every other return if not every return. to rinse pads because it cant find home 3 inches away? SO water exchanger I paid extra for fail doesn't work correctly, Drying system fail, and cant find home base....... UNOT WHAT I PAIF FOR! WONT RECCOMEND AND WOULDN'T BUY AGAIAN. ZERO COMPANY SUPPORT ON TEIR PRODUCT, Make the Sale, and forget.

High performance and convenient features
June 2024 - As a first time mom and a pet owner, I have been struggled to find time to clean the floor. I have a basic eufy robot vacuum which doesn’t do much other than clean the surface dusts and get stuck when transitioning from wooden floor to carpets. So I decided to go for an upgrade and I found Narwal Freo, Vacuum and Mop Comb. It’s is exactly what I need to keep my floor clean without sacrificing my time and energy. I was surprised by its high performance and convenient features. This vacuum machine is powerful enough to easily suck in pet hair, dusts, cat litters, and all the mess that baby made on the floor. The carpet detection function makes the machine to roll on the carpet and cleans it without any issues. The mopping feature is super convenient! At first I thought I had to take the pads down and wash them. The machine actually washes and dries the floor and then it cleans the mop pad itself! Even if the pads get super dirty, I can still take them off the machine so easily. The large dust bin also makes the cleaning more effective since I don’t have to keep on emptying the dusts bin before it cleans my whole apartment. There are many other great features that this machine offers, which you just have to explore them yourself! *************** Feb 2026 Updates: I’ve been using this robot vacuum and mop machine for over a year now, and it has truly become an essential part of our cleaning routine. Even after more than 12 months of weekly use, it still performs flawlessly—picking up dust, crumbs, and pet hair with ease while keeping our floors spotless. Be honest, I'm surprised that it's working properly since I saw all the negative reviews about this machine, but mine is still doing its job! The mopping function is a game-changer, leaving our floors clean without any extra effort on our part. It’s reliable, efficient, and has saved us so much time and energy. I honestly can’t imagine going back to cleaning without it! Highly recommend to anyone looking to simplify their home cleaning.

NARWAL FREO!!! THE ANSWERS FOR MY PRAYERS!! HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY
NARWAL FREO!!! THE ANSWERS TO MY PRAYERS!! HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY I finally took the plunge and purchased Narwal Freo. Best decision ever!!! Best combo Robot in the market! When Narwal released Freo version, I was a bit hesitant since I already own a Narwal T10 and I was and still am incredibly happy with its performance. Not sure I really needed an upgrade , the idea of a combo robot that could vacuum and mop really got my attention. I must confess I did research other brands and compared all the features . After long hours of comparison and reading reviews, I have decided Narwal Freo was the best option . So, I took the plunge and purchased Narwal Freo thru Amazon Eager to receive my robot I couldn’t wait for its arrival! I was so happy when Amazon delivery it a day early than expected. . Amazon driver was extremely nice and careful with my package. Such a good start!! My Narwal robot was very well packed, but the biggest plus was when I plugged in the robot and realized I had purchased the best of the best! I am extremely happy with my choice: Love its modern design and love Freo easy set up ! Freo takes vacuum and mop to another level! I love the friendly user touchscreen on top of the station. Love its user-friendly appt. Love how it suck up dirty and mop my floors . Freo automatically makes the switch from mop to hands-free and it has the capabiity to determine how dirty the floor is and to keep mopping until it is just right!!Freo goes back and cleans its mop when its sensors reads how dirty the water is ...I don’t’ have to do anything!!! Freo vacuum has great suction power, it recognizes the areas where it needs to concentrate and mops it until it is truly clean! It scrubbes the floor until it is clean, and it can reaches corners !!!! Amazing!!! This robot is incredibly quiet! I had a conference call thru zoom while my Freo was working hard around me!! Seriously, changed my life!
What I love: - The vacuum dust bin does not *require* a dust collection bag. The bag is optional. I'm cheap and I do not use a dust bin bag. - The dust bin can be washed out occasionally. I empty the dust bin after each use or at least every other use. When it needs it, I wash the bin and let it dry thoroughly! DO NOT wash the filter. I bang the dust off the filter to clean it and I have replaced the filter once in six months. - The water tank holds enough to mop the whole house (approx. 1000 sq ft). The kitchen and dining area gets vacuumed and mopped daily - now that never happened before Narwal arrived! Rooms with less traffic are cleaned bi-weekly. I discard dirty water after each mopping. I rinse the dirty water collection tank, fill the clean water tank and it's ready to go again. Simple and easy to do. - While I DO use the cleaning solution that came with the machine, it is not *required* for the machine to function. That was important to me and I contacted the manufacturer to be sure of that before my purchase. I have had the machine for six months and still have not used all the cleaning solution so I'm impressed. - Once the house is mapped, I can direct the machine to clean any room I please - any time I please by selecting the room, the function (vacuum and/or mop) all from my iPhone. That is luxury! - especially because I can do this from work on afternoon coffee break or while I reclining in my easy chair at the end of the day! - The cleaning tray, where the mops are washed and dried automatically, removes from the dock for a good rinse. Bi-monthly, I remove the water tanks and the vacuum robot before lifting the docking station up on a chair or counter so I can give everything a good wipe. That is the least I can do for a machine that has changed my life in such a positive way!! Besides, it was expensive and I want it to last and long, long time! Cons: It is pricey. I would like to have purchased the top-of-the-line models but the budget did not allow for it. Even at that price, if the machine died tomorrow, I would replace it immediately. Note: My daughter owns a Narwal vac with a *conical brush* which is a dream for pet owners!

Enjoy doing other things while Freo gets the job done!
I love this product!!! I put it off for a while as it was a big expense. I have now purchased two of them! Once you go around and pick everything up that needs to be out of its way the first time it's really awesome! (things like light cords... i just snugged them up a little so they are not lying on the floor for it to get caught up in) We have all hardwood and tile. Which makes it easy. I vacuum the mats roll them up, put them on the porch, put all my dining chairs up on the table and it fits under everything else we have in the house. We have a corgi and she sheds a lot, all the hair is picked up under our bed, dressers and living room furniture. It will go over the area rugs ... but I like to get under the mats cleaned as well. Suction is better for hardwood & tile than cleaning carpet I would say. it does okay on carpet but again we have a lot of dog hair. At the cottage I am able to relax have a coffee at the dock while Freo is doing all the vacuuming & mopping before we leave. I am no longer leaving the cottage feeling rushed, hot & sweaty from the last part of clean up. We just received our second one yesterday afternoon. I was able to make dinner, trim & mow the lawn while all the floors were being done. When I came in I put the chairs down and mats back at the doors, there was no dog fur anywhere! Love it!!! Best thing I have spent money on in long time!!!

Narwal isn’t the best brand of vacuums
After having this vacuum for a long time I finally have an honest review. Honestly out of all the vacuums I have, the cheaper Lefant is our go to. This vacuum does an okay job at vacuuming but the mopping is awful. I usually have to run it 2-3 times to get it clean. I also have to go around and clean next to baseboards. The mopping pads breakdown after 3ish cleans because they’re plastic aka microfibre. I am now excited to upgrade to a new brand for our main floor and put this one in the basement

Great mopping and great support
I bought this robot as I wanted the combo of vacuum and mopping. The best feature of the robot is definitely the mopping which works great. The support team was very helpful - I have a 3 story house and could not figure out how to do it via the app. They sent me an email with very detail explanation and images and now I can map it property. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: 1. The mop is by far the best in market - I have both hardwood and tiles and it works well on both. 2. Very quiet - I can actually work from home and it won’t be noticeable on my meetings 3. The new addition of multi mapping allow you now to have the robot clean your entire house without moving the base. It took me some time to learn it for mopping - you need to define an area before starting the mopping - Reason is that it require to clean the pads after certain amount of time. Once I learned it - it’s quite easy - luckily my house is small. 4. Support team - They were able to answer my issue with the mapping very quickly and with all the detailed images. Cons: mostly small issues and can be easily be fixed with another firmware update. 1. App requires some improvement in my opinion - it was not clear on the instructions on how to create multi maps and only with the help of support I managed to find it. Also it was not clear the way of changing the dedicate area 2. Robot failed to bypass small obstacles - for instance I have a coffee table with base legs which are only 1 inch tall and the robot just like to play there and hover it all the time . I believe that with a small update on the sensors this can be easily fix .
