There are no instructions. What is the nutted air vent on the lid for?** A: This is simply a one-man bleed kit. It can be used by itself independently of other bleed kit equipment. It works in the same manner as a tube into a collection jar. This one has a non-return valve so that it wont suck fluid back into the calliper when you lift off the pedal if you are bleeding the brakes by yourself. The air vent on top is opened in use to allow the air in the container to escape as you pump fluid in and it is then closed when not in use to avoid spillages if transporting the bottle. **Q: Do you get the one-way valve with the tube picture in the picture** A: As far as I know the answer is YES. I used this to sort the brakes out on a classic car. Tried all sorts over the year without any success at all. This got it right first time. Just for the record the master cylinder on most classic cars is situated under the floor below the foot pedal. So making sure even the highest point is full of fluid is not easy. It’s not a cheap product but it did the job for me . Just as a matter of interest I took the car to a garage at one stage for them to bleed the system. Didn’t work and after a few days the slight sponginess returned. Not with this product. I cannot speak for others , but it did do the business for my car . Hope this helps. **Q: Do you know if this could work to bleed the brake fluid and clutch on a Ducati Xdiavel?** A: If you’re reservoir is on your handlebar, I cannot imagine the top being this big. Also the path fluid takes on a motorbike is very short. If you have ABS some of you pipe work likely goes uphill. I would recommend a vacuum system not this. However Sealey sell an adapter kit as well as them separate . ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works perfectly, check the non return valve is sitting correctly in lid *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 22 April 2026* There are mixed reviews for this, but have found this to be one of the best bleeders.Like others, the non return valve looked pointless as the slit in the rubber valve was wide open. I took the rubber valve off and then pushed it back on, with a little wiggle it was perfect, it was just sat a bit off on the lid.In use it’s great, the hooks go hanging are handy, and the non return valve works very well. Pushing the brake pedal, without closing the bleed nipple results in maybe 5mm of fluid drawback. This could be used as a one man bleeder quite easily, but worth having two in the job to check fluid and tighten up nipple afterwards. Highly recommend, nice bit of kit ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well Made, Easy To Use *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 10 October 2017* Just brilliant, this was exactly the kind of thing I was after. It has a one way valve so this means you can bleed the brakes on your own - little or no air gets back into the brakes when you release the pedal. I also like the way the black rubber piece attaches to the bleed nipple. It's flexible so will work for a variety of sizes. My car has 7mm fittings on the rear and 11mm on the front. This fits both sizes just fine. The size of the bottle is great as well. Other one man systems typically have tiny little bottles that I suppose would work well if doing one wheel at a time and then emptying out the bottle, but with this Sealey product you can do the entire car in one go before emptying out the old fluid. Speaking of which, another great design - the red cap is there to allow easy pouring of old fluid into a suitable container for recycling. So far so excellent, can't fault this product!
