Appears well built - as one would expect - and has plenty of cable. Not measures but I knew I needed a bit and this fits for me. Submerged it and switched it on and it ran for a couple of seconds only. No idea why - heart sinking moment - but I switched it off lifted it checked it, checked the impeller as suggested. Everything seemed fine. I resubmerged - made sure it was well full of water - and has been fine for an hour or so now. Nice selection of fitments. Only time will tell if it lasts but very happy with purchase.

I brought this filter just over a year ago. It was a bit slow to clear my pond but the amount of gunk in the sponge obviously meant my pond was bad and not the pump. Long story short in around 2 months my pond was crystal clear and maintenance was no longer a daily/weekly chore. Don't expect it to be maintenance free and/or miracles over night because your asking too much. if it's already green. It takes a good while and regular maintenance to get it clear. Also it's a single filter pad not layered pads so it's not as effective as other more expensive alternatives but it does do the job. I have seen bad reviews for customer care. I have contacted the company, I was just out of warranty and they have been very generous and helpful. Which is why I want to review the product. There are a few bad points which are very minor for me but can be an annoyance and are worth knowing about. They are: -The base is screwed onto the filter and needs to be removed at each cleanse to access the filter pad. This requires a screwdriver. -The filter gets mucky and slippery, to release certain parts of the filter you have pressure clips. These can be awkward when the filter is slimy. -there is a small sponge in the impeller section. It is very poor and clogs easily. I removed mine and did not replace. I have not noticed any problems. But guess you can replace with a better media. Other than that it's a pump/filter/uv for around £40. I have a blagdon that cost £130-150 and yes it is better and requires less maintenance but look at the price difference. Both give the same end result

I have been using this pump for a couple of weeks now and here is my experience so far.. My pond was very green and I couldn't see my fish at all so I needed a consistent long term solution, I have to admit my first impressions weren't good, after the first 24 hrs I thought I should clean the filters out so switch it off and went to lift it out of the pond to my disappointment the dumped all the rubbish it had collected back into the pond, I cleaned it out and put it back in, the next day the water was looking clearer again so after about 3 days I cleaned it out again, the company advised me to lift it out in the horizontal position, it works a bit better but some of the rubbish does go back into the pond each time you clean it but it's getting better and my water is getting better by the day and I can see the bottom of the pond again. The cleaning process isn't the most straightforward and you have to unscrew the fountain attachment to get to the front filter and you have to unscrew the base to get to the long filter which is all a bit of a faff to he honest but it is doing the job intended. . I use the flat fountain nozzle which give a bowl effect and it's very nice.

This, `All Pond Solutions`, `All In One Pond System`, works in a number of ways to clear and sterilise the inorganic and organic matter naturally occurring in your Pond maintaining a balance in the eco system. The First system in this All In One AIO acting to purify the Pond is a cylindrical mat upon which naturally occurring Bacteria locate and thrive digesting organic matter. Water then passes on to the Second part of this system which is an Ultra Violet Light sterilising the excess Bacteria that make it this far. A Third part is a Filter before Water is then passed back into the pond. A Fourth part to the system is located at the front of the AIO through which a portion of the Pond Water passes before it enters the Pump containing Maifan Stones, hard balls of porous cotton with a particularly strong absorption to heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, chrome, Hg, copper, zinc, manganese and nickel, and a source of important minerals to help keep the PH balance neutral. Position the AIO anywhere in the Pond though a good location would be at a depth where the exit Nozzle or Spout clears the surface of the Water allowing easy fitting of the range of options included with the package. The volume of water passing through the AIO can be adjusted by rotating the small Dial at the front though they recommend keeping it to a max setting. The UV Light Bulb is a, `9 Watt Pond Filter PLS 2 PIN G23`, there is a small area of clear plastic in the upper body of the AIO through which the light can be seen giving an easy check if the bulb is working though it is difficult to see in Day Light so leave till Night time when it is more visible looking into the Pond. Our Pond had been cleaned out and replanted with Lily`s and Aquatic Plants but we had failed to foresee that when potted a fine silt had been used which leached out of the pots and though settling as we left the Pond several days, before restocking the Fish, was promptly stirred into a cloudy mess by their actions with visibility of less than 15 cm. The AIO system was fitted and began to clear the Pond within a few hours and within 24 hours the Pond was noticeably clearer though we still couldn`t see the bottom till the Second Day. Silt which was a fine mist had begun to ball up, and the Fish seemed to like eating it, we guess filtering out what they liked and even began to nibble at the Silt and Algae that had settled on the Gravel set around the Plants by the third day helping us and the AIO to keep the Pond clean achieving and maintaining a fine eco balance, a team effort. Excellent piece of Kit and well worth the little extra cost.

-- in fact I am unable to remove the filter casing which is really disappointing. When you first receive this all in one pump, uvc and filter you need to check the uvc bulb and quartz sleeve have not been damaged during transit, it was easy to remove the impeller but I am literally unable to remove the casing, I was a bag of nerves plugging it in for the first time and I had to wait until late at night to see if the uvc was working, thankfully all was well, the uvc gives off a lovely light at night, so it will be easy to see when it is no longer working. The big problem I now have is that I will not be able to clean the filter sponges or change the uvc bulb when needed, that is the negatives. On the plus side, this is an ideal all in one pump, filter, uvc and fountain but only for a very small pond and low amounts of fish, I have bought this to start my new pond off and I will be adding a bigger filter in a couple of months, I can use the pump to feed the new filter and still be able to use the fountain function which adds oxygen to the water, so no need for the use of an air pump. There are so many ways that you can control the amount of water that the pump is pumping, which again is ideal if you do intend to use this to run another filter from it, it also allows you to choose how fierce you want the fountain function to flow. If however you choose not to use the fountain function you are able to do that as well. At the moment I am using the pump, fountain and extra flow at less than half volume, this appears to be the perfect rate, my pnd is 1000ltrs/368 gallons, if the fountain was on a higher volume it would be way to fierce for the size of my pond and would be way to much for the size fish I have in the pond, I am looking forward to adding the extra filter so I can play around with flow rate so I can get it perfect for my set up. The unit also sits nice and securely on the bottom of the pond which is another bonus, although there are suction cups supplied if you need them or you can screw them to a slate or tile if you feel you need to secure it on a more stable base. The unit comes supplied with 10m of good quality cable but is not supplied with a plug, this is so you have options as to how you supply it with electricity, either you can fit a plug and 3amp fuse or you can have it fitted to its own outlet. If you are looking for an all in one pump filter uvc and fountain this would be an ideal little unit, or if you are starting up your first pond and need something easy to use then this is a good option, it would also make a good addition to a larger set up for the fountain function and to add extra flow to move the water around. It is literally the problem I have with removing the filter case that has led me to leave a 4* rating in all other ways this unit is perfect for many different set ups and I would definitely recommend it. Update. I have now had this all in one unit running for nearly 2 months and I have had to reduce my star rating to 3* because it really is impossible to clean the filter sponges, my son finally managed to get the casing off but even he struggled and he isn't here every day which is how often I have to clean the thing, I have resorted to using the jet function on the hosepipe to blast the sponge through the casing, so all the hard work of building up beneficial bacteria is now destroyed. I bought a pond vac to help with cleaning anything that fell into the pond but the filter was still clogged the next day, I tried fitting a filter bag over the pump to see it that would help but all that did was cause one of the new fish to get caught under the pump so that hasn't worked. If you buy this all in one please if you cannot get the casing off - send it back. I am confined to a wheelchair and I love having a pond but not being able to maintain it and having to clean it everyday is not what any filter should need. It is such a shame because when it works it works really well but you need to be able to clean it and maintain it which I sadly can't do.

When the pump arrived, the UV bulb wasn't working so for 2 weeks it was simply a filter pump with a fountain. The filters are brilliant. Even without the bulb, the water became so much cleaner. Cleaning it out every few days as within 2 weeks of cleaning the pond and changing the water, it became so thick with algae, you couldn't see the fish. That was an old filter pump. This one filters virtually everything and now it has the replacement bulb, its getting better and better. We can see the fish, we can see the pump and the fish do seem way more active and happy. As it clears, I won't need to clean the filters as often and it will control algae growth through the UV chamber. Highly recommend this product. 2 weeks after replacement bulb arrived, you can clearly see the pump. Brilliant system

The pump works well but cleaning the main filter is a nightmare. You have to remove the baseplate and then squeeze two clips to remove the casing. However even with my big hands it is impossible to squeeze the clips hard enough to free the casing. I have to use two flat bladed screwdrivers to prise the clips open. Cleaning the pump should be a 3-5 minute job. It takes me 10-15 minutes. The main filter casing clips should be designed in parallel with the smaller filter casing and be far easier to unclip.

I have read varied opinions regarding this filter/pump and I felt that I should comment upon how effective this item is. Never have two goldfish cost me so much money, firstly it was a water feature, then pebbles to make it more natural for them and latterly a form of biological compound to rid the pond of green algae. We had a filter and fountain, however it was not that effective and faring that my piscean pets were moving me towards bankruptcy, eyeing this pump at less than £40, I decided to purchase it. Obviously this is not the item for someone with a large pond, nor do I suspect does it operate as effectively as some of the external tanks and UV lights which more serious pond owners need, but for us it has ensured that our pond is well aerated - it sends a cascade of water out of the pipe which increases the surface area of the pond hugely and therefore ensures that our two fish are well provided for in regards to oxygen, we clean the filter weekly and combined with the biological agent (part of the effectiveness of the agent is negated by the UV light) are changing the quality of the water from thick green soup, to a markedly clearer liquid through which I can now see the pebbles at the bottom of the pond. I reckon a further week and the water will be completely clear. I can see the UV light is working and the fish seem to be thriving in their cleaner home The pump comes complete with two foam filters, a spare impeller and some pretty poor instructions: but it is straightforward to operate, although changing the UV bulb or impeller, I think I will rely on youtube to show me what to do. In addition, there are a number of connectors, which I am not using, but which are detailed in the product description. Cleaning the filters are very simple, you just remove the cover at either end, remove the foam filters and wash them under running water, similarly the stones which encourage biological growth can be cleaned by rinsing under a tap, however, as I am encouraging some bacterial growth, I do not clean it. Delighted so far. UPDATE FIVE YEARS ON =================== Sadly this item ceased working after 5 years of constant use. I think that the problem was we moved house and stored the pump in a dry environment for a couple of weeks. I can only assume that something happened to the seals or similar causing it to fail soon after restarting. I have ordered a replacement. In five years I have cleaned the filter weekly, never needed to replace the impeller, fully stripped the pump and cleaned it annually and changed the bulb. Less than £8 a year for an item constantly operating and apart from sun damage to the plastic pipe, looked in good condition. Still highly recommended.

ho comprato questa pompa per un laghetto autocostruito da me. Cercavo una pompa compatta che impegnasse poco spazio in altezza dato che il mio laghetto è poco profondo, che contrastasse alghe e altri depositi e....questa è fantastica. In poco più di 48 ore di funzionamento ha fatto il miracolo. Ha reso limpida l'acqua limacciosa del nuovo impianto. Ha diversi giochi d'acqua e la possibilità di avere anche una piccola cascatella. Se non si ha troppo dislivello secondo me ce la fa tranquillamente: ha una regolazione per la portata e la possibilità di sdoppiamento. Ha un filtro, un filtro a spugna di protezione della pompa e la lampada uv per le alghe. Aggiornerò la recensione appena il laghetto avrà i suoi primi ospiti per vedere come reagiscono. le foto rappresentano il prima e il dopo. REVISIONE RECENSIONE: risultato eccezionale, peccato non poter dare più stelle. Supera di gran lunga le mie aspettative. L'acqua è limpidissima, nessuna traccia di alghe o melma. Ora ci sono anche 4 pesciolini rossi che guizzano felici e sani. La consiglio caldamente a chi vuole un piccolo laghetto rilassante. AGGIORNAMENTO: a distanza di un anno dall'acquisto e dopo aver passato un inverno rigido (abito in montagna) non ha dato segni di cedimento e funziona ancora alla grande nonostante io latiti un po' nella pulizia dei filtri. Solitamente li pulivo ogni 10 giorni circa ma in tutto l' inverno mi sono limitata a farlo un paio di volte. Grazie all'aiuto di un piccolissimo riscaldatore i miei pesciolini sono allegramente sopravvissuti. Si sono formate un po' di alghe filamentose ma veramente poche e le ho rimosse manualmente. veramente un ottimo acquisto.

Dieselben Pumpe hatten wir schon einmal in Deutschland gekauft, da sie jetzt kaputt ging musste schnell eine neue her. Kam nach drei Tagen und wir trauten unseren Augen kaum…… mit Kabel aber OHNE STECKER !!!!!! Blanke Kabeldrähte anstelle eines Steckers . Wir mussten sie trotzdem behalten, da unser Wasser schon trüb war und die Fische dringend Sauerstoff brauchten. Sind dann losgefahren und haben uns einen Stecker besorgt!!!! Bekommen auch keine Preisminderung, da es ein Drittanbieter war!!!! So ein Mist!!!! Finger weg, oder dein Mann ist handwerklich begabt !!!!

Estoy muy contento con la compra de esta bomba para el estanque. Vino en su caja, tal cual en la foto, bien embalada y preintada. Las calidades de los materiales son buenos. El filtro que incorpora es de espuma de agujeros amplios, lo que filtra las partículas mas grandes (hiervas y maleza). A parte trae unas bolas para mineralizar el agua y una lámpara UVA que desinfecta el agua. En su conjunto se puede decir que he hecho buena compra. Una bomba muy completa a un precio razonable para usar en estanques pequeños. El único detalle que encontré es que al principio el impulsor no giraba, esto ya lo había visto en otros comentarios. El problema era que el impulsor se sujeta a través de una varilla de inox fina y va apoyado en uno topes de goma que si estos no se colocan bien el eje queda torcido y le cuesta moverse. Solucionado en 1 minuto y no se puede decir que venga mal de fábrica. A parte decir que en la caja viene con accesorios diferentes para hacer combinaciones de chorro y además trae un impulsor de repuesto. Saludos

Man sollte sich schon eine Bohle über den Teich legen falls die Pumpe in der Mitte positioniert ist, da die Pumpe spätestens alle 3 Tage gesäubert werden muss, da der Grosse und der kleine Filter zu sitzt mit grün und Algen !
