It measures 15mm gradually increasing to 17mm. I've only tried it on my car (Kia Picanto) and that's fine. My mum would really struggle without it.

Will it fit a Citroen DS3

Hello Irena, I don't think the genuine 'Handy Bar' we purchased will fit your Ds3, It fits very well on a Mondeo, Fiesta and Focus. I've just been across the road to a neighbour and they have a new model 4 door C3, the owner is quite sure that the models are very much the same except the Ds3 is a 2 door sporty model. I tried to fit the Handy Bar in the door latch receiver slot on the door pillar without success, the slot was too small. There are cheaper bars on the market which may fit but when tried one out it did not seem secure, also the Handy bar faces outward from the car but the cheaper version only fits across the door opening restricting safe access. I'm told that some of the disability shops sell transfer bars, perhaps you could visit one for a try out. I hope this information has been helpful.
