The Shimano Deore 10 speed chain was bought as a direct replacement. It is a mid/upper range chain, for a MTB and has good wear/dirt shedding properties. At the time it was about twice the price in my LBS. One downside, is that there was only one connection pin in the packet - most Shimano chains I've bought previously have had two, so no room for error when fitting and spare pins are a ridiculous price. This chain is 'handed', so it is important to fit it the correct way round.

This is a great value,durable fairly easy to install chain.Mine lasted about 5000 km to 75% which no bad at all.

you of course need a chain break tool but this item is more than fine for the average casual rider

I was dubious about buying this as it says that it is specifically for a certain type of mountain bike cassette, but it seems very happy on my standard 10 speed road set up and is a super smooth changer with my Shimano 105 road groupset. Fitting instructions came in German only so you will need to Google which way round to fit the chain ( unless you can read German of course) as it only works properly in one direction...

Purchased 2 years ago but only opened and installed in the past few weeks. While out on a very steep climb, on just my second ride with this chain, 2 of the links totally seized together and could not be separated. It was as if they’d been welded together. This was despite the brand new chain having been totally degreased and re-lubed with a top quality product. In short, my bike was rendered unusable. The chain aggressively slipped every time the two seized links passed through the jockey wheels of the derailleur. In all my years cycling I’ve never had 2 links seize like this and yet, reading all the reviews here, many other people have experienced this exact same issue. I’d put my house on this chain being counterfeit. I will flag this to Shimano and attempt to get a refund from Jeff. In future, I will always buy my chains from Halfords or a quality LBS.

Fast so haltbar wie eine XT aber wesentlich günstiger. Fahre die Kette auf einem Mountainbike 2 X 10 habe vorher eine KMC x10 drauf die war nach 2000 Km verschliesen und war etwas lauter beim Gangwechsel. Die Montage ist mit einem guten Nietwerkzeug und einem Youtube tutorial kein Problem. Mit guter pflege hat sie jetzt über 1600 Km noch keinen Verschleiss. Würde sie wieder bei Amazon bestellen weil sie auch günsiger ist, als beim Händler.

10速用チェーンとしては、耐久性が有り、且つ安いので継続使用中。 年間1.5万キロ程走る為、チェーン交換を5000キロ毎／年3回実施してます。 錆び易いと言う意見も有りますが、ロードバイク部屋置きで、毎日、整備＆注油しているため特に不具合を感じません。 コスパ良い製品だと思います。
