Surprisingly good
I bought this device almost on a whim, when I saw it for just £122 (inc the voucher). I wasn't expecting too much, but if it could be used as a Plex media client, I'd be pretty happy. My first impressions were actually very good. Nicely packaged. The build quality seems fairly decent. I had it setup within minutes, plugged in to a 4K telly, and booted to a Windows 11 desktop. It happily runs at 3840x2160 at 60hz (sometimes this needs some tweaking in the intel graphics configuration to get right). It also supports 2 screens, but I didn't try that. Wifi is fast too, reaching speeds of 240Mbs on my home network - although that did need a bit of playing around with the network card settings, as it was defaulting to using the 2.4ghz, rather than the 5ghz wifi. I would have liked it if I could have added an external wifi antenna, but not quibbling at this price. The desktop experience is nice and smooth. Very little lagging or waiting around. It's silent for the most part, although it does make some noise when it's crunching numbers and the fan comes on. It's not terrible though - a fairly low white noise type sound. But it may be audible in quieter moments in films. The unit does get a little on the warm side too, so keep it ventilated. These ultra low power chips from Intel have come on nicely, over the last few years. The n5105 chip in this device is comparable to a second generation i5 (around 2011) in terms of grunt. However, it benefits from having newer instruction sets, the ability to decode modern video in hardware, and a built in graphics processor. You'll barely be able to play games in 720p with low settings but it will give it a go. If you just need it to daily tasks (documents and web browsing), and watch videos, this thing will happily do that. For the reason I bought it, Plex, it works extremely well, handling most videos I threw at it with ease. 4K UHD can be a bit of a mixed bag, with it seemingly difficult to get HDR working correctly. But this could be more a limitation in Windows ability to deal with HDR (which still isn't all that great at the moment). So the jury is out on this one. In theory, it should be able to do 10bit colour at 24hz - but I'm also not sure if my TV can drop to 24hz (or even 48hz), so it can be difficult to judge what the weak link in the chain is here. The only thing I can't vouch for is longevity. It it breaks down in the next year or so, I'll come back and update this review. If I haven't mentioned that, you can be assured it's still going. So yes, this thing has somewhat pleasantly surprised me. For the price, it's a bargain. I may pick up another one.

A very good little machine
when buying a PC you should always look at what you will use it for. So if you're reading this looking to play games. Stop here, go look at a mini PC with an AMD chip in it, you will get much better graphics. That said, you can stream games using steam and this has no problem doing that. It just wont do the heavy lifting. For work, its great. it comes with a bracket that will fit standard mounting points on most screens. even though it is lacking in some parts it is quick enough to the point where you are not waiting around for things to respond. The Quad core CPU clocked at 2Ghz its powerful enough for most situations. It is 4 physical cores. The 8GB of RAM is the only let down, from what I can tell this is not upgradableThe IO gives enough options for most use cases. The M.2 feels a little sluggish so I might put a higher speed one in there. but that is swappable so its not a big issue.so yeah for the price not a bad bit of kit for general use.

Amazing mini PC, perfect for both home and work
Was dubious about purchasing a windows 11 mini pc but really happy I didI've been working from home since 2016, I heavily work in the cloud for multiple clients and have at times had to have 3 laptopsMade decision earlier this year to move my environments into the cloud, and looked at options for how to connect and do my workDecided to go with a mini pc.Main reason for purchasing this mini pc was the price ... For a trial to see if I can do my work as opposed to the more expensive mini PCs was a easy choiceI've been using this now for the past month, and it's never failed meI've got it connected to 2 x LG dualup monitors which allows for me to have 8 application windows running at any given timeThis little mini pc manages my workload without any problems, I'm even able to stream via webcam MS Teams and Zoom meetings (video and audio is excellent)Quite possibly the best value PC I've ever used with bonus of having windows 11 professional
