This can be placed anywhere inside or outside a metal gun cabinet. No rifle is too short or too long. Make a miscalculation with placement? Just reposition them to make placement perfect.The foam bars come with a sticky tape strip that attaches the foam to the magnetic bar firmly. I don't know how long that bond will last but it seems to be solid. After that, it's just a matter of placing the foam bar where you want it. The full length magnet will hold it in position.

Just like original ones for my gun cabinet works great wish they were a little cheaper

Really loved this solution for custom fitting my guns into a space that wasn’t easy to work with. Loved the ability to cut it down to size and then magnetically connect to the side of a locker. Also nice to have a sticky option for other applications.

I took my old china cabinet and turned it into a gun safe and needed this foam to fit inside to prop up guns. The self adhesive backing worked great and have had 0 issues with this product. Yes I recommend this if you are doing a project of this nature and the pricing is definitely great compared to other options I was thinking about.

These work fine to support long guns in a gun safe/cabinet. I used in both a cloth lined safe and a bare metal cabinet. They stick sufficiently with either the velcro or magnet options, which is nice that they include both, but they do come off fairly easily. Consider attaching with screws for a really secure fit. One pack isn’t enough for a typical size gun safe/cabinet, so you’ll have to order multiple packs, which is annoying. The egg foam is not great as a bottom cushion, as it’s fairly sticky and shifts around easily. It’s also inadequate in size to fit the bottom. I’ll be looking for something else for the bottom.Pictured is the gun cabinet w/ the magnetic option utilized. I cut two pieces of foam up to make it fit the bottom, as a temporary measure.
