he DDJ-FLX4 is a 2-channel controller with a simple, user-friendly design and a professional feel.

Review: Good value and great for just starting out. Has all the essential controls without compromise - This is hands down the best DJ controller in terms of value. It has all the essentials you need to get started without much compromise. The setup was very easy, you just need to install the latest version of Serato or Rekordbox and plug it in. Everything worked immediately after without any driver installs. I tested both Rekordbox and Serato. For Rekordbox, I got the full version of the software without having to pay any extra. However, for Serato, you'll have to use their free lite version or pay for a license for the pro version. This controller does NOT unlock Serato for free, only Rekordbox. It does work great with Serato, especially if you pay for a pro license. As for the sound quality, it sounds just fine at home on my set of bookshelf speakers, but the quality degrades at louder volumes, so I wouldn't recommend hooking up a big PA system to this controller. You're much better off getting a USB DAC and having the audio come out of that instead of the controller itself if you plan on using large speakers or loud volumes. I also really like the look of this controller, it's quite elegant looking and a lot cleaner and simpler than the DDJ-400 that came before it. Unfortunately the performance pads are only one color: orange. You cannot change the color of the pads at all, they're either on or off. Additionally, the lights don't get all too bright so it may be difficult to tell if a pad is on, especially in bright lighting. At this price point, you'd find it quite difficult to find any controller that has RGB pads, so it's no surprise this controller omits them. For Serato users specifically, the Smart Fader button only applies a bit of echo when moving the volume down or the crossfader, which is a far cry from the BPM matching that Rekordbox will perform when this button is activated. Additionally, the Smart CFX button activates some quite lackluster sounding effects on the filter nob, especially compared to some of the cool effects found in Rekordbox for this controller. Other than that, all of the buttons are labelled correctly and work as any other Serato controller would. Finally, I think the size of this controller is in a sweet spot. Smaller controllers like the FLX2, although more portable, lack a song select knob and a dedicated Beat FX strip. Bigger controllers like the GRV6 are a bit too heavy to move around, even these controllers do have 4 channels. For a 2 channel DJ controller, I think this is the most portable one you can get without compromising on important controls.

I picked this up on a whim after a few friends recommended I get more into DJing and mixing. Being my first controller I did a lot of reading about them and this one had the best overall recommendation. The unit is beautiful, high quality, and looks great. Don't get me wrong, it's not a "professional" deck by any means, but for anyone starting out, I'd highly recommend this exact model. Personally, I use Serato, and this connected to it no problem as soon as I plugged it into my laptop. I've also tried connecting it to Traktor, and Rekordbox; all of them instantly recognized the controller as soon as I connected it to the laptop. The controller came with only a USB-C to USB-C cable and some RCA to 3.5mm audio jack cables. I've put some hours on this thing for sure already, and I've never had a connection issue using the provided USB-C cable. the sound is amazing. I use a separately purchased RCA to RCA cable to run some monitor speakers and I have no complaints about it. The dimensions are exactly as described in the item details/description of the listing. It's a great unit to mess around on and I can easily fit it on my lap if I don't feel like going to my desk. I've probably put a minimum of 40-60 hours of use on this deck and everything is still as crisp and functional as when I purchased it; though I'm not throwing it around or abusing the unit, it still seems quite durable and hold up for a long time with proper care! Overall: If you're looking for a DJ deck that isn't going to break the bank to learn on or just have laying around for you and your friends, I couldn't recommend this exact model more. Tip: if you purchased this and it's not making any sound through your headphones, make sure the headphones knob (headphone volume) is turned up, and you've pressed the Que button(s) of the channels you're trying to hear.

A: No, I haven’t been able too.

A: You can stream i cloud music directly into the rekordbox software and using it for live mixing

**Q: How do I connect it to my PC?**
A: You can use either Bluetooth, or your USB-C cord, and if you use your USB-C cord, connect it from the computer to your FLX4. And then connect your speakers accordingly to your RCA’s.!👍🏻😎  you can also use this with 📱MOBILE DJ for iPhone/android, as soon as the 2023 record box DJ 📱MOBILE DJ update drops the spring!  Once that update drops, then you’ll be able to literally run the entire record box DJ app off of just your iPhone, or your android phone alone, getting rid of any computer or tablet use! Reading the directions, if you don’t know how to set up a turntable equipment, you might want to learn. What I just told you are your basic set up instructions, but there’s a lot more stuff to just shut up.!  just use your USB-C cord to connect it from your computer to your DJFLX4, or you could just use Bluetooth👍🏻 so if your computer utilizes, Bluetooth, and you’re also good to go. I’m not so sure how Bluetooth works as far as latency goes. If you have any other questions, just feel free to drop me one.!

**Q: Why can't I get audio when plugged to my computer?**
A: Check audio settings. If you’re using a Windows PC, make sure your computer isn’t trying to use it’s own audio card.

This is hands down the best DJ controller in terms of value. It has all the essentials you need to get started without much compromise. The setup was very easy, you just need to install the latest version of Serato or Rekordbox and plug it in. Everything worked immediately after without any driver installs.
