Baby Ono Baby Manicure Set in Elegant Case with Mirror

Great little nailer set for babies and children. This set has been used on our 2yr old and 1yr old since they were tiny, and although there isn't that much to say about nail clippers, I certainly can't fault them in any way!I used the tiny ones from newborn until about 14 months on my first, and now use the large ones. My youngest is still using the small ones at 1yr old. They are good quality, sharp enough to cut through with 1 little press, and easy to see where you're cutting. In 2 years I've only had one accidental tiny nip of skin.It's really handy having a case to keep them in, and we keep them on a shelf by the sofa, ready to grab any time I have a still, compliant child! I haven't used the scissors yet, but I'm sure that will come as they get older. I've used the file a few times, and it works as you'd expect. I've even used it on me a few times!I think the case is probably a standard design business card case, with a custom foam insert for the 4 items inside, but that's not a problem - and if I ever decide to keep them elsewhere, will be a handy alternative use for it!

I used the larger nail clippers on my own nails and these will probably be good for her as she gets bigger.The other thing I like is the carrying case. The foam inserts show where the pieces go and keeps them securely in place.Lastly, I personally think the mirror is an added bonus - in some cases it came in handy as it distracted my daughter so I could clip her nails without too much fuss.

I made this purchase for myself, as I needed round-ended scissors. Everything seems good quality, and the case is an added bonus, to keep everything tidy. I decided to dock a star for the nail file - I wouldn't put it near my nails, let alone a baby's, though I suppose you could file a horse's hoof with it.

I love the tin that they all came in, very compact. The toddler nail clippers are just the same as my standard adult fingernail clippers.I still prefer the standard tommy tippee ones, they cut the nails better. The scissors in this pack are very good though and despite preferring different nail clippers, I love the case it all comes in, easy to have everything in one place with little children who like to hide things.

The baby clippers have broken after a couple of months. The hinge connecting the handle to the clippers is simply a small metal pin. This has popped out. Small sharp metal parts are a complete no no with baby products, so the clippers are no completely useless. These have broken outside of the 30 day return window so I can't even get any compensation.The clippers are also too narrow to cut the whole width of the baby's nail so you need to make a couple of clips per finger - thus making an already tricky job even trickier!

Have just been using this to trim my daughter's nails and commented that I had bought it when her brother was a baby, he will be 12 in January! So the test of time has been passed!

Though as another reviewer noted, the mirror in the box is not needed for the baby, overall, the box is a neat pack, closing snugly and well fitted inside to hold the clips etc. We have used the scissors and file (easiest when the baby is asleep!) and it is handy to carry around without losing the various parts in the depths of the nappy bag. Not expensive (when I brought it, I could have purchased a similar set minus the box for a similar price) and arrived promptly.
