Polenta 5 kg

This is impossible to find in supermarket so when i spotted this on here. A great size and top value but good quality to. I use in baking and marinading turkey, chicken or fish. Great corn bread or cookies which my children love to pinch. As i am gluten intolerant this makes for a great alternative.

Polenta is one of the staples in our kitchen and the right quality can be hard to find. I'm happy with the natural yellow colour and the grind is perfect. This is my second purchase and I will be happy to buy it again when this runs out.

Great value and good quality product

I use Polenta to make a kind of porridge using sweetened Soya Milk. It can be flavored (i.e. with Orange or Lemon essence) and sweetened with a little sugar. Or a drizzle of maple syrup can be poured over once it has cooked. I even like this as a cold dessert. It may be an acquired taste, but for anyone trying to avoid Gluten it makes a very cheap and filling dessert.

Very good value. I admit I bought this quantity by mistake. However, it's made me think of different ways of using it. Orange cake and Lemon and poppyseed biscuits are the current favourites. I also sprinkled some over a red onion tarte tatin yesterday, before putting it in the oven. Wonderful! It gave it a lovely light, crusty finish.

The listing says Gluten Free but the label clearly states "May contain cereals containing gluten, milk, nuts, peanuts, sesame, soybeans and sulphur dioxide/sulphites"

The ground is a bit too fine for the polenta to perserve its specific texture but other than that good product.

I love this gorgeous polenta for making Jamaican style morning porridge.I pour 4 cups of water, 2 cups of milk over 1 cup of polenta in a pot and let it all soak away for 5 min - and then cook for 15 min - together with a cinnamon stick and nutmeg. And a minute before turning off ,I add sugar and some vanilla extract - and I'm in heaven.However the delivery took ages... because it's a yummy product, I am not going to give it anything less than 5 star
