Honestly couldn't believe the quality of the materials used and the craftsmanship for the cost. Would absolutely recommended this journal for anyone, there's a card divide which is great to prevent marking through other pages and I'm using ink which doesn't bleed through.

This journal is so so beautiful I can’t believe the beauty of it! The size is perfect, the paper is amazing and thick. I used a fountain pen with waterproof ink + watercolours and it didn’t bleed everywhere or didn’t touch the back of the page (as shown on the photos) 😍😍 The leather is gorgeous and smell fantastic. It feels like a precious object to have and I can imagine giving it to my child years later with pages full of drawings, poems, quotes and memories. Absolutely in love with this journal ❤️

Totally delighted this is a very good journal strongly put together, paper good to write on and stickers stick very well.

I don’t normally write reviews but I feel this needs one. The design is beautiful, it’s beautiful, the leather case is really nice, this is definitely going to last . The paper is a cotton. It was that good that I bought a dairy today from the same company and I have to say that’s as beautiful as the first one. 2 in 2 days 🙈

Bought for the daily journal entries I’ve been keeping since my son was born and to give my him when he’s older. I really love the vintage look of the journal, and it reminds me of something you’d see in a library of a stately home. The paper quality is relatively dense, which is good to avoid and blotting. That said, I like writing with a fountain pen and unfortunately anything I wrote was very faint, which was a shame. However a ballpoint pen writes perfectly fine. If there was an even larger version of the book available (or in the pipeline) I would be keen to get one of those.

I wanted this for a project I have been planning for a while and now I have it in my hands, I can safely say that I'm impressed by the craftsmanship. I love how simple the book is manufactured and how they made the pages look aged and tattered. (I hope the dyes used for the pages are hypoallergenic I guess I will find out soon.) The cover, bindings and wrap are made from full grain leather and will need care, you'll need leather conditioner/balsam at least every 6-8 months it to keep it from drying out and falling apart. I conditioned mine with a beeswax blend as it felt a little dry for my liking. It even comes with a fabric bag with the manufacturer's name and logo and a small sachet of silica for transportation/shipping. I'm at the moment trying to improve my writing before even beginning to write in the pages. I don't want to mess that up. Very happy with this and hope to start my project soon.

Very nice even has a unique aroma which add to it charm. Very weirdly like perfect gift for Harry Potter fans and more.

Je cherchais un carnet à la fois solide et agréable à utiliser pour écrire régulièrement, et aussi suffisamment qualitatif pour servir de carnet personnel. Dès la réception, le cuir donne une bonne impression : il est épais, avec un aspect vraiment brut et authentique. On sent le côté fait main, avec quelques petites irrégularités qui participent au charme plutôt qu’à un défaut. Le format A5 est pratique, facile à transporter sans être trop petit pour écrire confortablement. Le papier est aussi un vrai point positif car il est épais, donc l’encre ne traverse pas facilement, même avec un stylo plume ou un feutre léger. Pour l’écriture quotidienne ou même un peu de croquis, ça fait très bien le travail. Le carnet s’ouvre assez bien à plat après quelques utilisations, ce qui est appréciable. Le style est très “rustique”, donc ça ne plaira pas forcément à ceux qui cherchent quelque chose de très moderne ou parfaitement uniforme. Et comme c’est du fait main, il peut y avoir de petites différences d’un modèle à l’autre. Au final, c’est un carnet avec beaucoup de caractère, agréable à utiliser au quotidien, surtout si on aime les objets un peu authentiques. Je le vois bien pour un journal personnel, un carnet de voyage ou même comme idée cadeau. Et avec le temps et l’utilisation, le cuir devrait se patiner, ce qui le rendra encore plus unique.

I am very impressed with this book and would definitely buy more in the future. The cover is authentic high quality leather, the pages are very resilient (doesn't tear easily) and it lays flat when trying to write. There is some minor inconsistences to the page sizes and color of the paper but I like it because it gives that aged/found in an ancient library feel. For art mediums, I found that pen and coloring pencils work best. Tried markers but it bled and smeared. The pen ink dried instantly and soaked into the paper right away. There was no smearing or blow outs of the regular pen ink. Dry mediums are better for this book (I wouldn't recommend anything overly wet like watercolor or markers).
