Review: Happy to recommend this product to people who want to bring their old radiators back to life in an inexpensive way - I bought this for £16.99 with free P&P in August 2015 for my home D.I.Y. painting job (F.Y.I. I am a non-professional painter). I bought it because I wanted to do the radiators (and the pipes leading to them) in the four rooms I was redecorating and it has worked just a treat. Absolutely LOVE THIS STUFF!!! A word of warning, when you use this for your radiators, do not switch them on for at least 2-3 days, otherwise (and I am, sadly, speaking from experience here) you get air bubbles form underneath the pain, that you have to then pop with a needle. It looks as if the radiator has blisters and you have to pop them (which, F.Y.I. you should never do with a blister!). Also, you have to repaint the radiator to make sure it looks smooth, so avoid this kind of fiasco at all costs XD On the plus side - the paint does not smell much; washes off (underneath warm running water) clothes, hands and tools easily; dries very quickly (within eight hours you are able to apply the next coat) and the finish is a really beautiful satiny white. My radiators look brand new! Buying the 2.5 litres meant I could also re-do a couple of the room's skirting boards, but it was very hard as there was carpet (that I did not take off and did not put carpet protection over), so I'd not suggest you do that. But the results were beautiful, so I guess, if you wanted to redo your doors or other sorts of white frames, this paint will work wonders there too :) Overall, I am HAPPY TO RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERY D.I.Y.-ER OUT THERE & would be happy to repurchase myself, if I ever need to do so in the future. P.S. I used a brush to apply the paint.

**Q: Hello. This question has been asked but with conflicting answers. Can this paint be used over already glossed surfaces. Thank you.**
A: Yes it can. However, a gloss paint has a very slippery surface because it is designed to repel many things and make it easy to clean. It will do the same with a water-based paint. However, if you sand it first, to break the gloss surface and clean it afterwards - use plain water, not a spirit - and leave it to thoroughly dry out, you should find it will adhere just fine. I've done loads of woodwork like this because I don't like highly glossy surfaces and that awful yellowing that happens with so many gloss paints is horrible. If it peels, flakes or washes off after, it means the surface hasn't been prepared enough. Its not as tricky as it sounds. Good luck, I'm sure you'll get on fine. The satin finish is lovely.

**Q: Do you clean the brushes with soapy water or solvent?**
A: No , this paint once used Roller/Brush cannot be cleaned with water , it is oil based and as such white spirit is needed to cleanse your tools.

**Q: How thick is this paint? Does it brush thin and watery or is it nice and viscose?**
A: Whilst this paint is quick drying, it is actually quite thin

**Q: Could this be used to repaint already glossed skirting boards that just need a clean up, I have a young baby so I'd like to avoid using gloss**
A: This becomes very sticky after a while, and shows every mark, only use it if you plan to repaint very soon because it gets really dirty looking.  I would not recommend this paint for anything except a quick cover up job.

This is the water based satinwood which works very well on all the woodwork. It goes on nicely and dries very quickly. Any spills easy cleaned away with a damp cloth. This is much better than the oil based version. I used decorators varnish with it to add toughness to the area I was painting - windowsills. This is the one I use all the time when painting.
