These seem really good ones, heat up better than others I've tried. I put them inside my gloves on the backs of hands, that's how they work best for me, invaluable when looking after animals outside on cold mornings. Then they keep warm in pockets for much of the day -

I've had little hotties before, they were roasty toasty without being TOO hot but this latest batch doesn't seem just as good....... still grand, they do the job once they get warmed up. I used mine inside a pair of gloves in the middle of November when it was -3 degrees outside, they lasted about 5 hours of good but not great heat.Definitely took the chill out of the fingers, great for the kids too and i don't need to worry about them being uncomfortably hot for the little un's.I keep a few in my day bag, a few in the car and a few more in my wife's car, especially at this time of year :)EDIT AND UPDATETo get the best from these, it is most important to open the pack then leave the handwarmer in an enclosed space like a pocket or inside a glove until they've fully heated up. Once the contents start to mix around the heat goes out of them BUT WILL COME BACK AGAIN if you leave it alone in a pocket or whatever again. Use them to preheat your thermal gloves and then put them in a pocket, don't expect them to give off a warming glow constantly because they do requrie time to regain their heat. I don't understand the hows or whys but this is my personal experience.

Use these all the time in the winter/ on cold days. Very easy to use and activate the last hours and can get very warm. Ideal for keeping your hands warm on cold days.

Bought these to take to Lapland. Temps have been -28 and they've stayed hot all day. They've been a godsend. We bought toe warmers in a different brand and they were useless so we ended up with these in our boots too.Highly recommend!!

I bought these hand warmers for keeping my hands warm during gaming. I play a lot of FPS games and having my hands warms helps me keep my aim smooth and constant. I wasn’t sure whether to get disposable hand warmers like these that I see the pros uses or a small desk heater. I have tried electric hand warmers in the past and they did not work very well. I am so happy I made the decision to go with these. They last well over 8 hours for me so I only have to use one and it will last me an entire day! Great product, will be buying again.

OK, they are not as strong as the electric versions, bot one or two of these in your gloves or pockets are going to keep the worst of the chills away. Great value in bulk, and any spares are always very gratefully received by friends or companions.
