Lovely project to do together
Loads of fun to make for our 10 year old .... and parents, sure it takes quite some time, but we just did it for an hour or so a night and its lovely to do together. Probably 9-10 hours or so I would think in total, maybe a bit less.We used mostly double sided tape for the longer sections and tacky glue for the fiddly bits, seemed to work well. We did not follow the instructions for the columns and instead glued them into the top section first before attaching to the base, this worked well for us, the instructions for this looked impossile. We pimped ours up with some LED lights to represent the corner flames and some scrolling text on a BBC microbit, which was actually really easy to do and looked great, very happy child .... therefore .... happy parents.

This is a most impressive model temple and the instructions were mostly very good. I would have given it five stars if it was easier to fit the columns between the base and the roof. This was quite fiddly but it came out O.K. I would not let a small child make this model on their own as it is complicated and cutting out some the slots for the pillars was best done with a scalpel.

Looks fab
I bought this for my 9 year old so. For a school project. This was not the easiest project. The whole family got involved and although it was tricky it was good fun and we all got a bit addicted to it. It looked great when it was finished and although we enjoyed building it at the time we we're all a bit relieved when it was done. You will definitely need a craft knife (use with a ruler) and it's worth buying tacky glue PVA adhesive, works really well. You will also need a little extra time and patience but you will love the finished reject. Read and reread the instructions they are correct even though my husband wasn't always convinced, but that's a man thing.

Invest in double sided tape!
Far too fiddly for children to make. It took a very long time to construct, my son got bored. Glue does not work very well, so we used double sided tape, you will need lot and lots of it.It looked great when finished. Not sure I would buy again!

Combines history, craft and play - highy recommended
Our 8-year old Daughter has an ancient Greek project at school and as a result she ended up totally fascinated by Greek mythology and tales. The fact that we visited some of the sites a few year ago might contribute to this. So, rather than books and illustrations, its great to find a more tangible item that relates to the period in particular since this Usborne book combines play value, history, art, architecture and craft. The construction of the temple is not too hard. Albeit we had to assist her a bit with the cutting and assembly of the temple. But the result is great. She proudly brought the result to school where it got a prominent class display for several weeks.

Impressive end result but a very complex build
I gave this 5* as once built it is very impressive, however it is a very tricky and time consuming build. There is no way my 8 year old son could have done this alone, I struggled with the complex instructions. It took much patience and determination to complete however once it was finished it did look impressive. I very much doubt I would buy another from this series.

A great piece.
This was purchased for my year 4 school project. While there is no denying the final piece looks great, assembling it took many hours and could not be done by a 9 year old alone. Cutting required craft knife as well as scissor, and I agree with others that double-sided tape was a life-saver and more practical than glue.

Disappointed
Not sure if this is for 10 year olds again . But if it's so you got to be joking . My ten year old is struggling and when we tried to help it was a joke . Yes good for older kids or parents but for younger ones it's nearly impossible . Some ways of glueing things makes complete sense but then there are other design floors . I won't be buying this again . If you want a challenge then buy it ,if you want to do something on a rainy day with your kids then don't bother
