Easy to use, sharpens OK, like all the settings!
It is brand new, so I would expect it to sharpen fast. Only after many uses will I know how well it keeps knives sharp. It does NOT sharpen the point of knife very well. Knife falls to outside of stones before touching point. This will only get knife sharp to medium sharpness, good enough for most kitchen usage. It will not sharpen to "shaving hair" sharpness! Coarse setting uses steel to sharpen, Medium uses rough ceramic rods, Fine uses light ceramic rods, Scissors uses a flat whet stone, Sushi uses one sided steel for traditional single bevel Japanese knife, Bread Knives uses one sided light ceramic rod. Scissors requires more skill to sharpen as it's up to the user to keep edge level across the stone.

Not necessarily the best sharpener, but definitely one of the easiest to use
This VLOXO 6-stage knife sharpener doesn't work as well as a whetstone or a really nice electric sharpener, but it's incredibly easy to use for several different knives. The sharpener is all one piece, but there is an orange dial in the middle that you can twist clockwise or counterclockwise to select the sharpening piece. As you turn it, the dial locks one of the 6 sharpening pieces into place so it won't wiggle while in use. You'll primarily use slots 1, 2, and 3 for most knives, while slots 4, 5 and 6 will probably be used sparingly.Slot 1 is the course setting and where you can start if you have a very dull chef's knife. Slots 2 and 3 are medium and fine settings, which should work for most blades that are used on a regular basis. You just hold the sharpener down with your off hand and then slowly pull the knife toward you while the blade is in the sharpening slot. 5-6 passes is usually all it takes. The bottom of the sharpener has foam adhesive pads attached, so as long as you apply a little downward pressure with your off hand, the sharpener shouldn't slip.Slot 4 is for kitchen scissors. It took me a couple passes to get a feel for how to use it, but it will sharpener your scissors. Slot 5 is for single edged sushi knives, which I don't really use, so I didn't have the chance to thoroughly test that sharpening piece. Slot 6 is for bread knives. Now, my bread knife is serrated, and I kinda started to pass it through the slot and I wasn't sure if I should continue. I honestly don't know if it's ok for serrated bread knives, and I wasn't going to ruin my bread knife testing it out. The instructions are incredibly basic and there are no details about serrated vs. non-serrated bread knives listed.I can confirm this thing does a solid job sharpening up knives that are moderately dull. I've used better sharpeners, but those better sharpeners were far more expensive and somewhat more difficult to use. This sharpener is very easy to use and it's a relatively inexpensive price. If you are looking to buy your first knife sharpener because you have 2-4 knives plus a pair of kitchen shears that you always use, this thing is a great value buy. And it's a great buy because it's so easy and quick to use that you will actually use it. I just wish it had a little more instructions about bread knives and kitchen scissors in the manual.

I honestly don't think it works very well
I tried to sharpen multiple knives and I didn't really notice a difference. I tried different settings and still the same.

EXTREMELY impressed!
The media could not be loaded. I’ve never sharpened knives before, so this was a learning experience for me. I *think* I’m doing it right. I’m super impressed! It feels safe, controlled and easy to understand.Using the provided product video, make sure you’re pulling AWAY from side that has the company name on it.This is one of the best products I’ve ordered in a while. It’s practical, compact, user friendly and very highly functional. I sharpened 3 knives already and they’re like brand new again. It’s so easy to use and sits perfectly on a flat surface, giving you a strong stable base. Then, you lightly slide the knife through the device at your preferred setting and boom, done. The only downside I could see to this device is that it’s primarily setup to be used easiest as a right handed person. You hold the device with left hand and your right hand is pulling and controlling the knife. I could see it being a bit awkward using non-dominant hand.

Decent knife sharpener.
Dull knives is a chefs curse. This sharpener looked a bit gimmicky but I was fascinated by the 6 stage function. The good, the sharpener definitely works. To select a different sharpener just hold the handle and turn the knob in the middle. Not all stages are intended for knife sharpening, there's 1 for scissors. It's very easy to use and the versatility is nice. The bad, I was kind of right and the item is a bit gimmicky. Most parts seem to be made of plastic and I wonder about it's durability. The stage switch should have a lock in function, to keep the sharpener on a specific function. I've had instances where applying pressure while sharpening the knife would actually rotate the sharpener to a different function. Hoping that this item will last as it is a decent knife sharpener with nice options for different knives.

Great tool for sharpening knives and scissors.
After wanting sharper scissors for a while, that issue is solved. I also have a couple knives that needed sharpening and they are now useful. This is an easy to hold and maneuver device. The instructions come in detail for each setting, they are clear and easy to understand. It took me a bit to get the motion and pressure down, and the angle to sharpen the scissors and the two other knives. It's amazing how easy it is to draw the edge against these sharpening edges just a few times with a 'very light touch', and the noted resistance to the item to be cut is greatly reduced. The item is exactly as described and shown in the ad. I'm not sure how long it will last, but I used it right out of the box and several pair of scissors. They all work again, it's amazing.I am happy with the device and the order.5 stars

Works okay
This knife sharpener does an average job of sharpening. It is very easy to use. You just dial to your preferred blade setting and run the knife through five or six times. It doesn’t give nearly the edge that you’d get with a whetstone, but it also takes a lot less time. There is a setting for scissors as well, but I haven’t yet tried it.
