Patriot 128GB Supersonic Rage 2 Series USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Flash Drive with Up To 400MB/sec Read, 200MB/s Write (PEF128GSR2USB)

This is a basic technical review of the Patriot SuperSonic Rage 2 (128GB variant) Real capacity (after exFat format): 117GB Note that the model I received from the seller "GadgetLifestyle" had a more muted black and white look for the writing than the advertised pictures. I'm not complaining. --Write speeds from personal use -- Hardware: NVMe M.2 SSD PCIe Gen3, 35GB UHD HDR mkv file from hard drive: ~ 90 MB/s 2.5 GB mp4 from hard drive ~ 40 MB/s 2.5 GB mp4 from SSD 273 MB/s -- Benchmark -- the benchmark obtained on my system can be found here: http://usbflashspeed.com/335612: To summarise the tested speeds are Read: 286.36 MB/s Write: 356.06 MB/s In practice you will get much slower speeds, but definitely faster than regular USB sticks or MicroSD cards. ~~ Conclusion ~~ for the £37 I spent for it, it is perfectly capable, compact and practical. better than all but a few MicroSD cards, great for quickly copying large files such as movies across to one's TV. It's still slower than an external SSD, but it is generally more portable. In stick form, you may get better performance from the Sandisk Extreme or Corsair Voyager ranges. Expect to pay double the price however, and you may only see a real improvement when copying FROM an already fast storage such as an SSD. NOTE: to take advantage of these speeds you must: - be copying FROM a fast storage medium such as an SSD - be using a USB 3.0 port, USB 2.0 is dead slow - be copying few large files rather than many small ones i.e. >100MB.

Needed a small flash drive with larger storage capacity, and this patriot 256gb flash usb is perfect, I've used with different format methods, and works well, used fat32 for certain files and programs to install, then re formatted on the ntfs file system, shows 230gb, but that's good enough for me, copying files over is quick and simple, with the usb 3 support, very hard plastic case, feels very robust and sturdy, simple push to attach usb,, not had any issues using it, seems like a very good product, and able to hold a lot of files on the go.

It's a decent piece of hardware. Good write speeds however not as fast as advertised. Using a USB 3.0 port, transfering 1 large 35GB MKV file, im getting between 78-95MB/s . That's not bad, in fact, it's better than most usb sticks. However it's quite a long way off 200MB/s write speed advertised. I know they'll probably say that's for USB3.1, but i think USB3.0 should've been able to pull more than maximum 100MB/s.... Overall, it's a good piece of kit, if i was getting 150MB/S write speed, i would have given it 5 stars. I bought the 128GB version for £25.99 sale, which is worth it. I don't know if it was worth the full price of £39. In that price range you can probably get something better. Anyway, i know my review seems a bit doom and gloom but i am happy with it, and recommend it.

It arrived less than 1 hour ago. It is good for the price, I have decent speeds out of this one (See photo), this is almost as good as the Sandisk Extreme 3.0. I tested this on my Windows 10 Asus X555L. Copying a movie file 8GB, I have write speed around 85-90mb, read speed started off at 300mb but after the first 10% drops to about 100-110mb. My USB port is a USB 3 , perhaps result would be different on a USB3.1 port which I do not have. I would recommend this USB stick. Edit: So good I bought another 2 !! The Above was for Rage 2 I also bought the 123GB Rage I think its an older model so I already expected the speed won't be as good as the Rage 2. Write Speed 30 mbs and read is 100+mbs

I bought this to use with a travel router to carry all my movies. Loading the movies onto the stick got a steady 300+mb/s write. I have some external SSD drives from Samsung, T5 250GB & 1 TB and Sandisk 2TB SSD, but they are all massive compared to this. To have hi-speed and 512GB (461GB actual available) capacity with near SSD write and HDD read speeds, this is a great option at a good price compared to external SSD and micro SD. Added screenshots of copying movie files to and from MVME C: drive on my PC, it hold stead 300 write and 370 read from the memory stick. Crystal diskmark gives a lower reading for write that I don't see in everyday use.

Ultra fast

Tested on a USB 3.0 Type A port and copied from a M.2 nvme Pcie drive. Bear in mind if you have a USB 2.0 port (white connector) then you'll get significantly lower speeds than I'm getting (probably about 30MB/s. Conversely, if you have a USB 3.1 port, you might get faster. This is an excellent drive. I'm getting write speeds up to 350MB/s. Excellent for transferring large files quickly. The drive itself feels pretty light next to my other high speed USB flash drive (Lexxar P20), but doesn't feel cheaply made. Highly recommended.

Habe heute den Patriot 128 GB Supersonic Rage 2 Serie USB 3.0 Flash Drive bekommen und direkt getestet. Und was soll ich sagen, es ist ein wirklich absolut schneller USB Stick der meine Erwartungen voll getroffen hat. Über 280 MB Lesen pro Sekunde und über 270 MB Schreiben pro Sekunde kann sich echt sehen lassen. Auch die Vearbeitung macht einen robusten und sehr guten Eindruck. Von mir volle Kaufempfehlung, Stick leistet mehr als ich erwartet habe. Vom Preis her ist er sogar einer der günstigeren Sticks der Leistungsklasse.

Forget about USB 2 or USB 3 or USB 3.1 but focus on read/write speeds. The vast majority of sticks can't keep up with any of those standards. Look first and foremost for high read/write speeds. If you do this stick will be at the top of your list. Fresh out of the box as measured by ATTO this units does a whopping average 300 MB/s write and 385 MB/s read average as tested on a USB 3 port using a 256M test file across the three of these I bought. I have yet to find a reasonably priced stick any faster (or an expensive one for that matter)! UPDATE: I updated the above figures after my first "to good to be true" results. They are still excellent results and my rating does not change but I have learned a fair bit about USB stick read/write variations.....

Muchas personas me comentaban que porque gastar tanto en una memoria cuando mejor comprara un Disco Duro, mi respuesta fue la siguiente: Muchas personas compran artículos de acuerdo a sus necesidades, decidí comprarla por lo siguiente: La velocidad de Lectura es algo esencial, en este caso para ser USB es super rápida, es pequeña y lo puedes llevar a cualquier parte sin problema de cables o espacio para transportarlo, también porque a pesar de que en equipos con puerto USB 2.0, la velocidad de transferencia es aceptable, en este caso, prefiero sacrificar el espacio en almacenamiento por el medio de transporte de la memoria y ahorro de espacio físico, debido que al dar mantenimiento a otros equipos de cómputo, no tan fácil podría llevar un Disco Duro y el cable a comparación de una pequeña memoria con 128 GB de almacenamiento. Todo mi respaldo está en un Disco Duro Externo USB de gran capacidad, y por lo cual solo ocupo en mi hogar. Cada quien utiliza los artículos conforme a sus necesidades. Es una memoria que me agradó bastante.

Parmi les meilleures caractéristiques, on retrouve : - Grande capacité (128Go) - Rapport qualité/prix excellent - Bon débits : en moyenne 100 à 120Mo/sec sur de gros fichiers - Bon design, grip de la clé agréable, et semble solide. => bref, une des meilleures clé USB du moment (mars 2019)
